Yep, I used this one for the costume xD

Hereā€™s a picture I drew of me and my friends during my freshmen college. Thereā€™s suppose to be more friends added to the bathroom picture, but I got busy and forgot all about it, lmao.

whoa . so realistic
hope I can paint like that soon

Its a digital painting, there are a lot of talented people out there. But you shouldnā€™t be afraid because they are better. They just have more time and practice. :smile:

For any art and profession, practice is important. When it comes to drawing or painting, traditional is best before u even attempt to do any digital ones, for learning and practicing at least.

I do digital paintings though, but not as good as you . . www
my artworks above, the colored one, I did digital . but the below is with paper and pen :>

Thats alright, there are some people who are terrible at paper and amazing with a tablet. And vice versa.

Like i said practice is important. The basics are easier just to understand in the traditional method, since u are tempted to use transform/filter tools in photoshop or whatever software you use.

@all

I love how everyone has a unique style to their artwork. Just shows that art is infinite and limitless.

@minigod121

I will try, but at the moment I have more plant stuff than I do any other creatures. So, I need to make other types too! :laughing: Oh? Thatā€™s fine. Tells me that I can draw somewhat. :laughing:

Donā€™t you love it when you can tell you can still improve? Itā€™s really odd, but its like second nature. It helps us become better.

@Jiyuu

Well, thatā€™s a long gloomy and dramatic story, but I will make it as short as I possibly can.

Parents didnā€™t love me, mom got pregnant at a party, dad left saying he didnā€™t want kids, we were poor, at the age of 15 I was working a lot to pay rent when the parents should be doing that, I was kicked out 3 times and had nowhere to go, I was depressed, I was exposed (not doing) to drugs due to my sister bringing over really bad people and I almost got stabbed, I was called various gay names like ā– ā– ā–  and ā– ā– ā– ā– ā– ā– , only had two friends and lost one and now I only have one, I was picked on (people would spit on my face, threw paper balls, and pushed me around, and they would daily repeat that I was ugly and that I should kill myself and the teacher didnā€™t really say anything). So, I was sad for years and myself esteem was really bad (still recovering after 5 years).

All I had was really a piece of paper and pencil at the time and I started to draw circles and other really simple things. It helped me get away from the stress and away from other people (I think thatā€™s why I become introverted and donā€™t go out much). I then got better because I started to draw 7 to 8 hours (to much time on my hands) a day for 3 years and improved immensely over my previous drawings. Then I stopped for 2 years because my artwork was destroyed (well over 70 drawings) in the pond (when my mother threw me out). I then gathered enough willpower to draw again, but those where stolen from someone at school who probably watched me draw. After that I stopped for years (again) because I was basically broken emotionally. :laughing:

*Breathes in deeply

And then I was adopted and had a home that was stable enough for me to stand on my feet and grow. I decided to go to a canceller/therapist for some help and I started college and finally got a car when I hit 22. After 4 years with my family I got better and started to draw rarely for only 30 minutes to an hour about three or four times a month. I just do small drawings here and there.

I think I did a good job summarizing that up. :laughing: Anyway, all of these past events have changed how I draw on paper.

Totally agree. No one starts off drawing beautifully, every one literally started off with stick-man, lol. To get better, you need to understand shapes and anatomy, and constantly practice a lot. But just like practicing to get better, if you stop drawing, your drawing ability will naturally start to decline as well.

I havenā€™t drawn in years, so my drawing isnā€™t as good as it use to be. Actually, itā€™s far from it last time Iā€™ve tried drawing. For me, even back then when I was actively drawing, a single drawing took me at least 6 hours to do T-T If I were to start drawing again, I need to focus on speed to draw within the allocated time I have available, then increase the accuracy from there. Well it helps if I stop drawing the character nude first, and then draw cloth on top of them.

If I were to start spending time drawing, I need to learn to draw a rough sketch (without details and background) within 1 to 2 hours consistently first, before I focus on improving the accuracy. I just donā€™t have the time unless I can spare a whole day for drawing, which I would rather spend it on playing game XD lol.

What digital software and tablet does everyone uses? I have Wacom Intuos Pen & Tough (Small), and use OpenCanvas 6 since I enjoy the replay feature. I do have Clip Studio Paint EX, but I havenā€™t gotten around to using/learning it yet.

Thatā€™s some really amazing artwork!

This is a pencil drawing from a couple of weeks ago, theyā€™re my characters from a certain game known as Terraria. Iā€™m not a great artist, but Iā€™m working on it.

Doing pretty good I see. Youā€™re going in the right direction. Iā€™m sure with more practice, youā€™ll be great.

This is mine. It was for a contest about a fantasy novel characters, Mirage Noir, where you get to choose whom you like to draw. I took the character Myo with her power of water, reasons why the colours are all blue. You can check my DA at the bottom picture but itā€™s not active though.
