[Server Overcapacity] Please IMC, compensate players accordingly

Ok but this literally starts happening a few days after maintenance every single week, why would the servers be filling up in a pattern like this? Too many people playing at thursdays 4am? I don’t think so.

Also, “running out of money” is the one excuse they can’t use here, this game went through a early access period where over 30k people paid to play (10$ minimum, but many got the 50$ pack or all 3 of them TWICE, once they halved the prices and made them available once more).

This is sarcasm i assume?

As ive said before in other posts they are hardly out of $, nearly everyone in founder’s access not only bought each founders pack, we bought them each twice b/c tp was broken for ages so it was the only way to get premium items for quite some time. And today I see atleast 40 hideous penguins every day and one person after another in some godawful trump or other costume.
Now some people will start with the “well they didn’t spend $ they just bought 50 tokens and waited for the 99tp refund”, ok sure, but some other pleb DID spend real money on the 50 tokens that the market player bought up and sat on. ToS hooked their 1% whale population long ago, there are people that literally go through 50 enchant scrolls a day, you’ve all seen them shouting 5 new movement speed or aoe att ratio hats a day in yell.
And this isn’t a “peak” hours performance issue, I cant get in at 4am or noon, doesn’t matter if 5 or 5000 people are on. This needs fixed Monday, more people need to be talking about this. I’m losing 750k x3 plus 9 chances at a petamion recipe per day of this nonsense.

Before talk of compensation, they would need to fix the problem first. If they do compensation but never fix the problem, it would be an endless stream of reset vouchers you couldnt even use.

Nahhh… IMC dont give a sh*t on this
Ya’ll got IMC’ed!!! :sparkles:

I can’t believe a problem this damaging to the game’s health has stayed in for so long. This has been allowed to persist for such a long time that here on klai we’re even starting to see the economic effects of it: Every item that comes from a dungeon cube (arde, mana, peta, ignition, etc) already have their prices “balanced on a knife’s edge” so to speak, and with only a fraction of characters/alts running dungeons compared to before they’re pretty much starting to dry up supply wise/go up in price.

Between this, multiple tp cosmetic items not displaying at all for weeks now, and everything else that seems almost “alpha ver.” tier about the game, things are not looking good.

Game literally unplayable atm if you want to manually dungeon or solo, you just cant get in.

3 days not able to do dungeons now, thats 9 wasted token uses… not happy

yah they always ignore the more important stuffs… look at the new costume arrived LOL who cares about the new costume… fix the main bugs first… I cant even use my Hair Costume!!!

its not even just the dungeon issue that they arent fixing right now, even the costumes are broken and same goes for party cutscenes.

every party cutscene forces you to relog, that’s been out for 4 weeks now. some costumes makes you invisible rather than shows as the costume, and still no fix or even mentioning about it from imc end.

imc’s biggest issue right now, is the massive lack of communication. we lituarly know nothing whats happening untill every weeks patchday when we can read if they finally fixed some of these issues.

Almost every aspect of this game is broken. That’s why people quit and that’s why people still lurk the forums with salt, because it’s actually a really fun game otherwise. You just can’t play.

I dislike being an apologist, but I have some margin of respect for their past track record on catering updates on player feedback. My main issue is that they seem to forget about the game itself, and it seems that core issues are shaking the very foundation of the game and making what would otherwise be a decent MMO experience turn into a series of frustrating events.

Let’s face it. A lot of us do enjoy the game. Hence why we pursued it in the first place. And minus the introduction of a laundry list of bugs, the game isn’t too far off from what we originally expected, for many of us.

I come from a French MMO called Wakfu, where I previously served as one of the lead moderators and GMs. That game had a large deal of issues, but at the very least members of their staff, despite their shoddy English, made a constant effort to communicate with the international playerbase on their design and intents. It allowed players to not completely feel in the dark moving forward in the development roadmap. There were players not only including myself that were able to directly report bugs to them and even on the weekends when they didn’t have work, they would at least keep an open line of communication acknowledging basic bugs the game had and what progress they’ve made on rectifying them. The closest thing we have to that here are our translators, like @Gwenyth.

When problems like the many ones we’re experiencing happen, it’s up to the people behind the game to address them to the community. We had a post on the forums not long ago by @hkkim, which generated a massive amount of praise for actually getting some word from the people making the game. Why can’t we have that more often? It doesn’t even have to just be limited to him posting either.

Tree of Savior has a long way to go before it can remotely be considered not a diamond-in-the-rough. But it has to start somewhere before it takes steps forward if the developers, publishers, and playerbase even remotely care about it. I sincerely hope that when the weekend has passed, we can get some form of an official statement.

Hopefully that’s not wishful thinking.

Edit: Relevant to the topic, we have missed the entire last day of Earth Tower runs, due to inability to generate an instance at both 4 PM and 4 AM the next day. That is four cubes lost without even a chance to contest it.

I found it weird that when this thread was staying steady on top of “Latest”, the dungeons, which are usually unusable during weekends, haven’t returned the “exceeded” error at all (though the wasted runs are still there for some reason). Not sure now as I haven’t checked yet (was playing yesterday).

I have a feeling that it’s like IMC just wants us to shut up and forget that these issues for awhile until they reoccur.

On fedimian servet just for mission sialua, one has to wait like 50 min (230+). After I get back from work I waste my limited time for waiting on queue which is sad.

That’s possible, could indeed be just a lack of manpower.

The problem is they should’ve included important news like that in the Q&A. I don’t care if they include stupid questions. Why limit the questions to just 5?

I think something else is broken now. Used to be no problem getting in dungeons with high lvl char through queues, but now I can’t do it for 2 days. I get in queue first, wait, 5 more come in a while and I’m the one left out in the end.

Possible and they better deliver great on rank 8.

Yea, the server capacity thing is getting ridiculous. It’s bad enough that a modern mmo that has the capability of remote queue (look at PvP) doesn’t implement it for dungeons, but that aside, now we can’t even make groups for dungeons and queue is bugged as well?

Today we had a 5 man group for 240 dungeon, had everyone slamming the spacebar for 30 minutes, couldn’t get in. So, we decide to queue up, queue says 5 people, we sit in queue for 20 minutes, nothing happens. Finally, some people leave the dungeon and 3 more people queue up for a total of 8. We finally get into the dungeon after 22 minutes in queue as a party, and of course, we lose a member and get a random person. It’s just ridiculous at this point…
