Ok, maybe I went too defensive with this, but yes, i do feel that this and lesbian needs to be unbanned. Maybe they really didn’t know, but I did bring up the topic to have a discussion on it because yeah I don’t want to to be banned. It should have equal treatment.
It just doesn’t help being attacked even for bringing it up.
I can’t believe the word Lolita is banned as a part of name.

Just think of it as something not good in the ears of others. If it offends you because other country does not approve it, then just respect us so that we can respect you.
In the end, the world does not need to know that you are gay. Keep it to yourself or to your personal life. We have our own preference so please do respect!

I do agree that he’s being whiny over something that isn’t so big of a deal - we can all clearly see IMC hardly has a grasp on the English language and probably don’t even know how the word gay is used. But your reaction is totally uncalled for.

how did you miss this logic? the obvious logic is in association… they are more associated with the word gay in korea, and especially in the gaming community than ■■■… noone says thats so ■■■. or you’re ■■■… they say … thats so gay… you’re gay… this is gay. gay kid… this and that… as a means of a put-down. and it has nothing to do with gays… gay in the gaming community became 2nd to ■■■■… and its many many many uses for the f word.

As another gay player, I’m amazed that a word used extremely commonly as a derogatory insult is added to a games blocked word censor list!
No matter what you say bud, you aren’t being singled out and there isn’t a homophobic agenda going on, it’s just treated as an insulting word - kinda like the N word for black people.
you missed what i said… ■■■ and dyke are missed by the koreans… the same koreans that make the censor list… because they are rarely used in their world… the reason gay is censored is the same reason all the famous us curse words are censored… they have real time association with those words… they hear them more often… ■■■ and dyke in their world are probably rarely said… so all you are experiencing with the lack of censorship is the fact that its a rare word over there… so its a couple words overlooked.

i doubt a single curse word in Arabic is censored… because those koreans dont associate with the Arabic cursing worlds… so i actually guarantee you are free to curse in Arabic as much as you want… i 100% guarantee they arent filtered.

I agree with you. If someone calls me a ■■■ its not gonna ruin my day, I can get over it and move on. There’s much, much larger issues in the world than someone calling me a ■■■ or a cocksucker or something along those lines.
Still, doesn’t justify degrading someone so harshly based on who they are. If you don’t see yourself as better than me you shouldn’t be talking to me, or anybody, in such a degrading manner in the first place.
