Seems afk farm was resolved on kTos

No idea why people are upset about them removing / fixing that part of the game when it shouldn’t have been a thing from the very beginning. As of now, simply put, it is just bad game design. No class should allow / encourage players to rake in profits by being afk while constantly farming monsters at the same time. While it doesn’t require any third party tools, it is just the same as botting at this point. No player input requires and yet you get to generate items, silver and exp. This is simply toxic and I am happy that they are going to adress it.

For those who cry out loud: Deal with it. Better partake in the game and do something for your silver other than letting the game run in the background. Just like everyone else, you know.

Just read the posts. AFK farmers are upset that they can’t farm afk anymore and believe they did/do nothing wrong, as they fool themself with the illusion that the necro class was designed for that purpose and is useless at everything else in the game, so the afk farming is the only thing that is justifying the circle.

Thats however a general game balance problem, as necro is not the only useless class at endgame and not all of them can afk farm.

Its just a clusterfuck of game problems, and they believe that a fix to afk farming won’t change the game… but hey you have to start somewhere?!

alright

so everyone figures the changes are good.

then, the big question is…

WHEN?

2017? 2018? 2019?

the intent is good, but the change itself is a terrible solution to the problem

Poor argument. Just because something else is causing an inflation, you adding on top is still NOT justified.

Necroes are not useless, flash cannon does good damage, we have a guy in our guild who plays necro. He never afk’s to farm silver, and does comparable damage.

But it all comes down to how you built yours.

I once spent three weeks leveling a pardoner to find out that it was not really profitable… Like not at all… I deleted it.

I guess tough sht, sad story, bro, get over it, level up a scout?

Cuz there aint nothing wrong with making a scout for 145 farm, cuz that, belive it or not, is quite involved thing to do

Lots of people here crying for nothing. What a necro-afk does in 1 day, a active high level player does in 1h ~ 1h30

If we ever get that I’ll just stand around on rare spawns all day.
Really great mechanic.

Like we don’t have 2 or 3 scouts
Alts farming shards,portium, rushing dungeons…

I see a lot of jealousy hypocrites; you play all day long
and don’t want anyone to have silver other then you,
just because you don’t have time to go afk hahaha
Really, this is just ridiculous.

Leave that F%$#ING necro at dina bee and go to work.
So when you comeback there will be a little silver to buy some cheap
stuff and play. But is not acceptable to you, real blood founders, right?
I did bought the founders pack too buddy, just don’t see the point in playing alone. If ppl leave that shitty there farming at daylight, so they can play at night before going to sleep, it is good for me, as long they play.

Do you really know why they afk for silver?
Cause ppl like you >>>>monopolize<<< everything so that you can sell it for 30kk. Or at leat try. Because once this guys are out, not only we will have less ppl playing but we will have less ppl buying.

For whon do you expect to sell all that $%#%$# ?
Not for some like you, I guess.

There we go, more greedy F%ckers ruining one more game.
You ppl are like cancers.

Its all about jealousy in the end.
Humans… always the same.

Hopefully they will implement it asap, best if is by next maintenance.

MMO is a genre of game which players trade time for better rewards in game.

@pedrolauro
Just because other players invest more of their time in game doesn’t automatically make afk farming something legit [1]. Everyone has the same amount of time per day, 24 hrs. Everyone has RL matters such as work, studies etc, those aren’t valid reasons to afk farm.

In game, just like real life, everything is governed by rules. Just like a person took stuff without permission in a house that isn’t his as theft in the eyes of the law and public, IMC has deemed afk farming as an act that isn’t recommended to their terms of service.

Things change, be glad that it is a passive change and not a hard ban. Learn to be flexible and deal with it. Find some other way in game in which you can earn silvers.

[1] Note: Technically it is legit to afk in game, while minions/pets automatically do other things. But it isn’t the recommended way as as it falls in the grey area between normal playing and botting.

IMC just made it essentially harder to do afk farming. It goes to show that it is a grey area in which they find it hard to ban but they don’t recommend/condone such method of playing, which is the reason why they make it such that it is hard to do to discourage players from playing like that.

wow, can’t believe someone like you exists

so much bullshit in one post

Bullshit? Ha ha, of course.

It not in our hands anyway…
Whatever. It will be 500k less silver per night.
No big deal.

Cya

omg can’t believe someone else has another opinion than mine

The fact that you legimate believe that you should earn something in any game, while not in any way actively participating in the given game aspect is so delusional that I can only call it bullshit. Sorry and byyeee.

Sorry, but afk farm w/o third party program is legit

obviously IMC disagrees.

Thanks, I should change it to “technically legit, but not a recommended way of playing by IMC”.

@pedrolauro

Hmm so you call it jealousy that ruins the game.

Are you sure it’s not your own greed and others like you that is actually doing the game harm, thinking you deserve to get free silver by basically not doing anything.

The AFKs get IMC’ed and the macros laugh their asses off.

Typical IMC solution to a problem.

I’ve got news for you friend. Tree of Savior has always been about monopolizing the system whether it’s been world bossing, gvg rewards, etc. Oh and don’t forget various third party programs and exploits used to generate huge sums of resources not only limited to silver since the very beginning of open beta (we’re still in beta lets be honest).

You really have two options.
-reject the system because its f’d yet still play the game. Save your time and energy because when it comes to items and money-making, whatever we have now will most likely be replaced by more ‘effecient’ systems or watered down in the future.

-take the game seriously and become a monopoly man, knowing full well the time and effort spent even through macros doesn’t really amount to much. What does 400m+ amount to exactly? Broken pvp and a very tiny sliver of ‘transcendence club only’ content. Everything up to level 315 can be done with a five hammer and some pocket change. Watch it become accessible to casual players with the addition of new content.

Well, there is a sensible third option but I’m not going to tell anyone to quit. end rant :sunny:

Retroactive penalties are the worst thing one can do. You are doing something and then get punished for it because the law that forbids it was introduced after the action is done? No really, that does not make sense, but IMC does also not make sense to begin with.

Once the rule/whatever comes every previous offender should receive amnesty, with penalites only issued to ongoing offenders. I know that will be dissatisfying to most people but what are you going to do? With retroperspectives punishments possible, you cant do a thing anywhere anytime. Cause you can be punished for that later on.
