SEA Pack Cheper HALF PRICE than NA

wow i just notice that SEA pack cheaper HALF price than NA. :pensive:
this not fair, we play the same virtual game, same virtual mall. why make different price? NA pay double than SEA. this is so weird.

im not including ppl that complain about mall item price such token etc, but when its comes make different price for same BUNDLE PACK…thats new!!!

pls hire pro for fair price so everyone pay the same for the same virtual game items.

server location is business decision, shouldnt make a different price for that reason. -_- weird weird.

Economics is why. Regions get paid diff currency’s that have different values globally.

its not about server location. Its about making less money off those people because its what they can afford or making nothing off them.

Please,not this again.

What @thebloodyaugust said. It’s not complicated or complex in any way.Just buy it or don’t.

simple explanation you can live like 30 dollar a day in US/EU and you can live 15 dollar in SEA. maybe for the exception of singapore

its double price. LOL really -_-

i play alot mmo. and this different price totally new and weird for me
not make any sense.
pls hire pro for calculate things --
soooo weird for virtual items -

Regional pricing is common on steam. Usually your just unaware because you only see your regions pricing.

The pro would tell you if your options are make less money off someone or no money off someone, less is the better option.

well…i hope u right about the last sentense.

its like wearing the same hat, one price $100 and the other price $200
and later these ppl will play at same server if merged, LOL

idk…its just not make any sense for virtual items.

This isn’t a new thing. You’ll get used to it. Its about getting the maximum amount of purchases they can which will hopefully keep the servers alive and prevent the need to ever merge.

what IF…someday really merged?
i will say hey my hat $200 and yours $100?
rip

At that point in time i think the remaining players wouldn’t care and would just be happy to have a big population again. By the time things get that awful priorities will likely have changed. And once merged i would imagine all the prices would become the same seeing how Itos is pricing by server. To keep regional pricing they would have to completely redesign their pricing systems.

As a side note your 200$ hat might be 10% of your income.

That 100$ hat would be like 50% of a sea persons income.

Math is generic to display a example and is not actually %'s.

oh well…
but still not make sense
i hope they change it to same price. cuz its the same virtual items tho.

i should play at SEA so i have 2 pcs hat -_-

It actually makes all the sense in the world, ppl in SEA have different currency, different minimum wage, different economy than ppl in USA, it’s only fair that it is this way, when some ppl say that in other MMO’s things are different they are refering to GLOBAL servrs where obviously prices MUST be equal…

Regional pricing has always been a thing. A lot of 3rd party websites buy cheaper priced games in regions where the dollar is worth more and therefore requires less dollars. Then resell them at a price that gains them a profit while also being cheaper for those who live in the western economy.

The 2 reasons why this is confusing is because

  1. You normally only see the prices for your own region on Steam.
  2. They’re showing the conversion rate for other region currencies to dollars.

At the end of the day other regions are actually seeing the price for these packs in their own currency. And the math has been done already. Based on how much money the cost of living requires in other countries, people in the states are actually getting the better deal.

For example something that costs $10 for us may cost the equivalent of $5 for them. Yet where someone here gets paid $15/hr for certain work. In that other country they’re getting paid less than even $7.5 for the same work.

Watching him replying it doesn’t make sense again for the fourth time would make my day.

nahh…still weird
of course most ppl not bother much about this different
expecially if u not spending much for mmo.
if u willing spend thousand dollars for mmo /mo
u’ll say the same

anyway its Free to Play tho.
but still i hope the price is more make sense. rather than using that ā€œold reasonā€ for everything in life

shrug

Do you ever feel weird about money?
Why do a paper have such value?
Ever think about credit card?
How can we spend money by a plastic card?:joy:

It’s like people in SEA may feed themselves a meal with maybe 5 USD or less, but people in USA will have to pay $10 for a meal. And then you are yelling like, 'Why not make all the food priced the same? Food is food, I see no difference, I want this to be fair.'
But like someone mentioned above, maybe that $5 is 20% of daily expense of people living in SEA region, while US people can easily earn $12/hr? Does there even exist so-called ā€œfairā€?

This is the simplest way to explain it:

Let’s say you, MiniMouse, live in the United States and you make $88k a year as a Software Engineer at an Internationally-placed company. Over in Singapore, Hacqueton makes $54k a year as a Software Engineer even though he does the exact the same thing as you and works for the exact same company. This is because in the United States, MiniMouse technically earns more money than Hacqueton since the US dollar is worth more than the Singapore Dollar.

Thus, Hacqueton would have to pay more of her salary if the prices for the SEA server were adjusted up towards the US rates. In the end, it doesn’t matter, because those prices are exclusive to the SEA servers only. If you want to pay that price too, then by all means, join the SEA server and experience high Ping and foreign language like you never have before.

just play in SEA if you want cheaper TP

but dont complain if you get higher ping
