It completely blocks any physical attack.
If you are confused about this description on TOSBase “Hide yourself in an empty barrel to prevent attention from enemies. In this state, you are unaffected to a few physical attacks.”
What it means by a few physical attacks : it can only sustain 25 hits until the effect wears off.
It blocks all physical attacks and debuffs like poison and bleed.
It does not block magic.
Do you think it would be wise going Scout for barrel block if you already have Pavise from QS?
Basically, I’m thinking about PvP/GvG first and foremost. My current dilemma looks like this:
Archer1 -> QS3 / Ranger3 -> Rogue2 / (Rogue1 -> Scout1) -> Musketeer1 / Cannoner1
I like the way this game has blown my mind even before I started playing it. I only regret I haven’t tried Archers on iCBT, having instead focused on Swordsmen.
Any suggestions would really be appreciated.
humm , for pvp i think scout is a must have, specialy for the invisibility, the barrel tho, can get you off a delicate situation.
As for the damages, musketeer is pretty much all you need.
you wont use the pavis that much, staying in one place would be your death, you will mainly, camo, and snipe/headshot.
so i my opinion, ranger 3 is better for the steady aim and the 2 skills C3 exelent aoe and single target skills

And if we’re talking about Cannoneer? Are they much worse PvP-wise? I understand longer animations might be a problem?
I’m actually interested in Siege Burst, because of the “damage to structure”, I presume it has smth to do with some fortifications or smth? I’m old RO WoE, you see. I also understand Granado Espada had smth in similar.
Might QS possibly be a better match for Cannoneer? If we’re talking about hypothetical siege mode?
I dont know for sure about cannonner in pvp, they should do more aoe dmg , but lot less single target dmg, and you would be more of a sitting duck.
not sure if it would be that effective for structure with such a big CD, maybe if there’s more that 1 cannonner in a organized guild siege.
Ranger will up your cannoneer damage too with steady aim, QS in my opinion is a pve class , against stupide monster that you know will launch their missil at you in a predictable straight line.
but i didnt tested QS in pvp to be honnest, that’s just me extrapolating ^^.
who knows , maybe that some players are dumber than monsters and will choose to keep hitting your shield instead, that would not surprise me.
now if we’re talking about a 4 QS formation , you can pretty much build yourself a bunker with archers inside^^ that should be fun
