Schwarzer Reiter / Overall build advice?

I’m a bit new to archers, and have been trying to read up on different builds and such to make something to my tastes. Currently, I am archer C3, and plan on taking two ranks into Wugushi for help with AOE and DoT. I’d like to take Schwarzer Reiter after that, though I’m a bit lost for what else to take. Was thinking another rank into SR, or perhaps Musketeer? I’m not sure how well the two synergize, so I thought I’d ask about it.

If SR or Wugushi aren’t ideal for this build, I can also consider taking other classes. Here is the build that I’m currently planning on using:

I’m also making a SR, but my plan is Archer -> Rager c3 -> Fletcher -> SR c2…

Skills which can only be used whilst mounted:
Schwarzer Reiter - All skills are only usable whilst mounted.
Also note all Schwarzer Reiter skills require a Pistol to be equipped.

Skills which cannot be used whilst mounted:
Archer - Kneeling Shot
Quarrel Shooter - Deploy Pavise, Stone Picking, Teardown, Running Shot.
Sapper - All Sapper skills are unusable whilst mounted.
Hunter - All Hunter skills are unusable whilst mounted.
Wugushi - Throw Gu Pot, Jincan Gu.
Scout - Camouflage, Cloaking, Undistance.
Rogue - Feint, Capture, Vendetta, Lachrymator, Burrow, Backstab.
Falconer - All Falconer skills are unusable whilst mounted.

I’m actually picking the same classes too lol. I’m currently a wug2, trying to get to SR lol

If I am not mistaken, running shot can be used while mounted.

Yes you can use running shot while mounted.

A1>R3>A2>SR2

The most optimal SR build i can think of.

That’s the old list. Now, you can’t use all musketeer/cannoneer skills. You can also use Running Shot now.

Why A2 intead of fletcher or wugushi?

Most wungush Skills can’t be used while riding.

Also for wungushi you better off stacking STR, since DOTs scale with STR.

A2 gives access to multi 10, 25% crit rate which scales nicely with a balanced STR-DEX that SR usually go for.
Also, the speed buff from swift step stacks nicely with the build-in mounted speed you get from the companion, its not on the same level as Trot, but its still good and you can have it on 100% uptime.

Unless your using Fletcher as an enabler, or going Full STR to maximize Burn DOT damage from Crossfire like i do, for my Rogue bleed build, going Fletcher without C3 is just a waste, and it will fall off very quickly.

There is a way to check what skills can be used while mounted. go to http://www.tosbase.com/tools/skill-simulator/ and hover your mouse on the skill, if Companion line show up an icon with a red X on it => unusable while mounted.

afaik, all Fletchers skills can be used while mounted.
