Sapper Buildsss

As the title says i would like some really good sapper builds but it seems not many people know much about it. I just want a good fun build.

Yea…i am trying to avoid quarrel because i honestly could not enjoy it one bit. ended up remaking.

:open_mouth:
I’m a quarrel sapper atm and I’m enjoying it really
Maybe a creative style of play is not for you

If you’re passing up on Quarrel then go Archer C2-C3 instead for the kneeling shot

The kneeling shot bonus applies to broom trap simply by kneeling everywhere you want and having it deal some damage

Ok thank you. I just didnt enjoy it as i thought i would. I also heard that quarrel is rough until c3 and i just couldnt do it lol.

Also may i ask for help on how to skill the c2/3 archer? I dont know whats good and whats not for c2/3 for archer.

meaning should i just pump more into oblique and multi and ignore heavy and twin?

Ahhh true dat, maxing Quarrel until C3 is a painful road to bear :frowning:

As for Archer C2/C3, maxing Multi-shot is a definite must
It melts bosses fairly fast

As for oblique, leave it to either level 1 or 2 in order to efficiently use your SP because maxing it will make you bleed SP and do over-damage to a mob which is not really needed as you can practically dish out overkills with other skills

I heard Twin shot has its uses but personally, I’ve never tried Archer C2/C3. The info that I have right now on those circles are from watching videos of WatchGintama whose main is Archer and lurking in the forums on what majority say. I am however, 100% confident regarding the specifics on Oblique and Multi-shot.

too late ive maxed oblique…but oh well sp wont be an issue because this game tries to give you more pot than the cartel.

Well if its something from a person who recommends gintama ill take it more to heart.

Thanks.

Yer welcome haha
have fun sapping!

Last thing…can you link me to his channel please?

Here ya go

Dat typo though

Add in a rank of Ranger for flying AoE. Never take Sapper 3. If you’re going for Cannoneer, Falcon’s good too.

Falcon’s quite good for Sapper since Circling is a soft taunt that attracts mobs to the nearest player while other skills help for when you’re running for your life and waiting for the Broom trap to kill everything.

Wugushi’s a common addition since the AoE of Sapper and Wugushi has ~40s CD and last 8-15s, so you can have a constant AoE skill ready.

Tbh, AoEs are only good for large mob densities which the questing maps around 180-200 have in flying mobs only. Go for something additional that can help with a crowd of 2-5 mobs with a low-ish CD.

Ill be playing with a cryopsyco once this is leveled up so we have a lot of cc we just needed the damage.

so Arch>Arch>Rang>Sap>Sap

Looks like you have it figured out already but maybe you will like this, lol:

Take Archer C2 for a stronger Multishot for single enemies and bosses. Swift Step is for support and crit attribute. For Sapper C2 your main damage skills will be Stake Stockades (Overheat 2) and Broom Trap, for Wugushi C2 it will be Throw Gu Pot and Needle Blow. Then you’ll finish everything off with Cannoneer. This is mainly because Cannoneer’s Shoot down attribute allows you to knock down all flying type mobs you hit so ground attacks can hurt them. Downside to this build, until you hit Cannoneer you may have a bit of trouble with flying mobs as Broom Trap and Wu Gu Pot do not affect them (Hence why you want Cannoneer). However if you decide to put points into Claymore and Detonate trap this should alleviate some of that trouble (Flying bosses will take damage regardless though btw).

Left SP to use on whatever you want -
Archer:8 (Kneelshot is probably your best bet)
Sapper: 10 (Maybe Claymore + Detonate trap)

Alternatively you can swap Archer C2 for QS C1 for Paivse + Caltrops to lure in enemies for Broom Trap + Wu Gu Pot. But Archer C2 is probably better.

That seems neat. I like the idea of poison since it could potentially help kill strong enemies that i cant immediately burst down and then i could let that tick while i finish off weaker ones.

Thank you as well.

Though i have to add…how did you manage to only put one point into oblique and heavy…that stuff doesnt add up.

Oblique shot is mainly used in between cool downs, luring enemies, and a better version of auto attack (If you don’t have Cafri + Arde Daggar). 1 point is mainly for SP efficiency. Heavy shot is mainly for PvP from what I’ve seen, no need for more investment. 1 Point is all you need. If you do plan to get Kneeling shot, you can put the leftovers into Oblique shot since Full Draw is a crappy skill that you’ll probably never ever use. With the new update you should be swimming in SP potions anyways.

This is my build, you can use it if you want.

I can explain it later if want, right now i’m running late for university.
