Sap/Cann Build help!

Hiya!
There’s 2 days of reset event remaining (technically 3 but Monday is the last day I can go back to my original build) so I’d like to use that opportunity to try out the Sapper/Cannoneer build, but the problem, as usual, is I don’t know how to distribute the skills.

Here’s the incomplete build with skills I know I want, but as for the rest I have no idea. Can someone please help?

Tsai Tom’s skill allocation for Cannoneer3 (not class rank 15 yet).

I prefer this skill allocation to spam Cannon shot here

Hm, so something like this should be fine then, yes?

One thing that bugs me, is it worth taking Weight Reduction attribute on Cannon Barrage? Is half the CD worth 20% drop in skill power?

I forgot whether it is flat 20% skill damage decrease (789% -> 769%) or it is a true x0.8 (789% -> 631%).

You lose around 100% x3 hits per cannon barrage if it is the x0.8 damage decrease. With 50% reduced cooldown, you will get 4 cannon barrage casts in the same time instead of 2.

Is it worth it for you?

Well, logically I think it’s better to get 2 x 0.8 in 33 seconds than 1 in 33. But math was never my strong point :stuck_out_tongue:

For PvE, I think it is worth. Cannon barrage is 2 overheat. You will use it 4x in 33s with attribute.

At PvP, you might not get a chance to live another 17s after getting out of scout invisibility, so do not use it at PvP.

Is cannoneer ok without falconer now?

Back in the days, circling was so critical to cannoneers. Btw what do you gusy think about adding scout in the archer3-sap3-cannon3 build? (Either take out arch3 or sap3)

I agree with this build efficiency. We known every aoe build becomes stronger with falconer, but circling will suffer a huge change and in bazooka mode most your skills will hit 7+ monsters. Cannon shot is so freaking good, OMG.

I would suggest considering appraiser. One self buff (I wish the duration was extended…), one magnifier skill that always crits and decreases targets (even tho the skill is single targeted it decreases the critic resist of nearby targets, also bosses) and one skill great for pvp.

Sapper is so amazing with cannoneer because bazooka mode boosts broom trap. The only downfall for me is destroy trap not hitting as high as I remember for flying mobs. I dunno if mine is bugged but 3+ circles around a flying monster, att 70 and the attribute that gives +50% dmg at 5 still I’m hitting for 200k when I used to hit 2m+.

Ive changed a few times these days and tested hunter 3, growling is great but pet is so bugged…sapper 3, also great but it’s sad that I’m picking a classe only for broom trap, and QS3. Even though running shot only lasts for a few seconds on our patch, they gonna change it latter. Stacks with bazooka mode. Deploy pavise is great too.

In my point of view, bazooka is so strong that you have to pick something that helps that set up time and combo with it. Even wugushi.

@clima
Which one did you find more useful for general gameplay, hunter 3 or sapper 3? Really wished we got the full uptime running shot alredy to get a better ideia of how go Quarrel3 could be with Cannon3.

I tryed a little of both (less than I wanted to test sadly) and I got the impression that is a matter of choosing some good extra AoE damage (Sapper) or some Crowd control to set up Bazooka (Hunter)…

As you said, Bazzoka is so good that it seens that’s a matter of choosing between which skill offer more support to it Broom Trap or Growling.

Actually, I have no idea lol. Even for me I dunno what to choose until this point. Growing is more useful to solo players. You can mob, let your pet hold the mobs and it gives 10 minutes to set up bazooka and destroy everything. Also, growling provides lots of utility for parties. The bad thing is ranged mobs and when they want to attack your pet, you’re done. U can’t use anything else.

Broomtrap is good. As always, and with bazooka you get +100% dmg boost (110% with the new cannon). But the other skills are so bad… X.X. Broom trap can’t hit flying targets, but cannoneer can push them to the ground, so…

Running shot is amazing. Really amazing, that plus deploy pavise can hold those 3 QS circles pretty nice.

At the end, I’m going 40% QS, 30% sapper and 30%, hunter.

Yeah, it is a hard choice to make… Personally I starting to prefer hunter more than sapper if you want to focus on bazooka. Growing helps alot to mitigate damage you take and lets you stay a little longer firing within the mode. Kind sad that while sapper is a trapper class it has no trap that keep enemies rooted in on place for some time… something like that would be really good for cannoneer xD

Really wished i could have teste QS by what you say, it sees really cool! Do you have any videos of that build you could share?
