Im a QS3>Wu1 now, and after I got lvl 120 I decided to change weapons. The results where underwhelming, Even with a bullet shooter (227dmg, I will use the max damage of the weapons to help me with the calculations here), my damage was the same, if not a little lower than my +5 Grand Cross. So I decided to overupgrade my Grand Cross, and the results were amazing. Using even only a lvl10 buff from Squires gave me around 2400 crits on the first hit of the Running Shot. (Current build: 150str, 50con, 50dex).
Now I undertstand that swapping weapons don’t keep the +80% dmg that the lvl7 Running Shot gives, only the duration. But, taking in consideration that Grand Cross always raise +280% damage, its is safe to asume that its not worth to change weapons until a weapon that DMG x 2.0 is higher than Grand Cross DMG x 2.8, right?
I made some light calculations, taking in consideration only the weapon attack x Running Shot Modifiers (x2.8 for grand cross, x2 for the rest).
WEAPON DMG RS DMG
+9 grand cross 163 ~ 456,4 (My current Weapon)
+10 grand cross 173 ~ 484,4
+12 grand cross 193 ~ 540,4
+15 grand cross 223 ~ 624,4
seimos crossbow 210 ~ 420
+5 seimos crossbow 245 ~ 490
catacombs shooter 305 ~ 610
+5 catacombs shooter 345 ~ 690
karasha crossbow 262 ~ 524
+5 karasha crossbow 302 ~ 604
Seeing these modificators and taking ONLY weapon damage as base, it seems that, from the weapons listed above, its worth changing weapons only at level 170 for a +5catacombs shooter, as my current + 9 GC gets better damage than a raw Seimos Xbow.
Are my calculations right? Now, I know weapons like seimos and catacombs will have better dps because of critical rate/attack they offer, but help me here with only weapon damage in consideration. Do I need to apply my Str in these calculations are well?
I need this because I have green gems ready to socket, and I was seeing if it was worth using then on a +1X Grand Cross or wait for Catacombs.
Didel Grand Cross will have to wait, I need a stronger weapon before I have a chance to farm it.
