Let me gues, in the video the AFK cleric that you tried to backstab was Alsheyra and the Cannoner that blow you to bits was Bhikku.

I don´t think the problem was the Rogue Backstab being weak, but the target being absurdly over geared.

its not about the gear… I don’t deal damage on a full con cleric even with trash armor. i also get blocked a lot even with 600 block pen.

it is weak including most of archers rank skills compared to cleric. a cleric using skull smasher +21 trans 10 and me aspana +21 trans 10 can deal more damage than my archer which makes this graph full of sht https://imgur.com/a/7oHvY . back then I don’t notice this cause i thought its just my gears and i need to trans to deal better damage. now that i have a decent gears I can really tell the damage gap.

only musket can compete in both pve and pvp with them now.

Yeah i agree with you and i feel really sad considering im another one of those archer mains. I use +21 emengard cannon on my main trans10 but does â– â– â– â–  dmg compared to my monk zealot with only trans5 2h mace +16. It beats my archer on dps. Its really sad and frustrating on how imc seems to forget about the whole archer tree. Its so hard to compete both pve and pvp for archers (ik cannoneer are one of the meta classes for pvp on archer tree but its still damn hard to compete agaisnt clerics and wiz). Im still playing this game with just a sliver of hope for an archer rebalance patch. But it seems hopeless since theres nothing for months now.

I main Archer and got frustrated every day. It’s because the Tree of MAtk, Clerics and Wizard does not have to worry about Accuracy, Block Penetration, Critical Rate; they could build FULL CON and be very damn good with it.

They need to create something like Magic Efficiency; weapons will bring min damage fix to 1 and the max current damage, and to increase the minimum damage you must invest into INT, gear and skills.

Too late for me to switch mains so I already accepted this. Archers will always have the disadvantage whether its pve or pvp. I can complain all i want but i chose this path and its been this way since day 1. Game is designed to favor clerics, i mean they can go high/full con and still have higher or at least on par with archers in terms of dps. Heck, heal alone is already a game changer.

I keep convincing myself that I am satisfied with my decision to stick to archer class. But I always ask myself why the hell did I not main cleric everytime i get a match in tbl with 3 archers vs 3 clerics. Froster lord is a saving grace cos at least some classes can compete right now. I’m still salty that about 60-70% of the top tbl players are clerics tho. But I actually think that this is not because archers are bad. It is because of the stupid matchmaking system in tbl. Making sure that there is at least one cleric per team and preventing a 3-cleric/3-archer team can improve the matches by a lot imo. It might make the queue time longer but who cares about that. Right now, i would say most of the matches are decided if you have a cleric or not which gives cleric mains an indirect advantage.

With all that said, I must say that winning against clerics are very satisfying.

I play Hacka C2 and before the last “big update” I can kill cleric with decent/good gear now is imposible, even the bad geared ones are hard to kill and I dont’t have heal to survive, plus the stupid OP wizz CC+Damage thats makes me quit PVP.

It’s not only archers but the accuracy/b.penetration problem is true to swordsmans as well except (musketeers and lancers). As the game expands, it also becomes harder to balance these two stats.

IMO, magic should also be dodged and blocked but maybe w/ more favorable formula since they dont crit. something like; 2/3 of the accuracy/b.penetration investment swordsman and archer needs. 2 birds in 1 stone, since less people with be on full CON, and thus lower block ceiling.

I do agree that block pen and accu is one of the problems on sw and archers, and wiz and cler doesnt have problem with it, but its not only the stats archers worry about but everything else like the tree itself is so bad right now, damage output is so low aside from musket since its recently changed. Imo swordies are still in good spot right now, not much to worry both pvp(a bit here) and pve. Playing archer as a main while having toons with lower investment can deal more damage is so sad. I just hope they are planning to have archer rebalance and not just select a few like the falc and musket changes but the whole archet tree to be reworked. But if the changes to this 2 archer classes is already the “archer rebalance” then i guess it only shows how imc is so bad at changing this game. Its so expensive to fund an archer char but even if already over invested, wiz and clerics will always deal more damage.

Well the big skill rework update turned TBL into a Blockfest and the Gear 2 Win big update just made it worse…

I commited the mistake to join back ToS when they (FINALLY) added some swordsman tree updates just to realize it didn’t come with a rank reset so i had to use my returner’s one, bought a damn 10m token (it was the cheapest in the market) and oh surprise, less people than ever was before i left

Suggestion: don’t come back until they have a really big update and give a free rank reset and a free 5-7 token (u know, to re-re-re-re-re-re-learn all the attributes again, otherwise it will take u another year to learn em all)

IMC’s face when they see more whales spending their allowance on ridiculous virtual items gambling = :poop:

2 Realized it has a shitty unbalanced mechanics
3 Focused on PvE
4 Satisfaction for me

You know, the moment I saw PvP cleric like plague doctor or bokor when R7 back then was the moment I decided not to touch PvP.

While I can understand people complaining about those clerics, I got some respect as well for people who keep trying to PvP with non clerics and still managed to get win in match or some.

And!! Please IMC, players has been giving suggestion many times. on different thread. Make PvP locked to their own classes. Clerics vs clerics, archers vs archers and so on.

You don’t need to remove 3 vs 3. Just add one more match 1 vs 1 and give it different ranking system than 3 vs 3.

Some of you mentioned archer is hard to compete in PvE as well. Why is that?

I’m not an archer expert, but seems like many classes are doing OK in PvE, such as sapper, schwarzer reiter, bullet marker. Falconer is great, and musketeer seems awesome too, but you guys already mentioned them. Mergen, cannon, and wugu are quite good as well. The ones I have problem with are fletcher and hackapell, but the rest seem to be OK to me.

This is something that can’t be compared actually. Lots of cases we are comparing something that expert in one field while others are not.
SR = fastest dungeon clearing known
Falconer= Best support archer
now if we compare with DPS race, they lose with nobi doppel or nobi murmillo. Each has their own advantage

I have played hakka and it’s actually pretty contrast to what mostly people think. Hakka 1 might be. But Hakka 2 is great

Ive been playing cannoneer since r7 days and i really can tell you cannoneer cant dps that well, sp consumption is just horrible and have down times even after using market pots and npc one. Literally 0 sp and also if you fund it same as other aoe dps you can find the other dps classes the damage is a lot higher and more worth (ele locks and zealots for pve.) Sr is pretty much same as before but still not as good as other classes. Bm is a new class ofc it has good kit but not the best. Imo bm suffers from sp management too as skills have high sp consumption. Falc and musk are also just reworked so obviously they seem good. While classes as u mentioned like sapper, lets face it sapper only works cause of broom trap and on some occasions detonate. Mergen is terrible as well. It was built for a bow user aoe dmg dealee but most of its skills at merg2 just increasing the circle1 skills but dmg is still bad thats why usually its only at circle1 and with falc3 and only acts as filler for falc3. Wugu is actually npt that great either. It doesnt crit first of all wouldve been great if it has higher skill modif since it doesnt crit. Card interaction couldve been better too and not only for effects but its not big of a deal anyway. I just really find wugu quite underwhelming as well. Cannon already said above. Other classes such as hunter has really bad pet ai. Imc couldve made it better and fix the pet.

archer damage is not ok, my archer is only viable atm because i trans 10 my weapon but still can be beaten in dps and it feels really average even with trans 10. you know something is off when a cleric can beat archers in dps.

I agree with you and this is really frustrating if @gexmnlin13 already tried comparing a funded archer with funded wiz/cler/sw like we did. In the end were still just hoping for an archer rework. Our damage is still really low compared to other classes with same funding.

As an Archer main, I’m moving to cleric next reset Event.

Falconers are on great spot now but this “Archer rework” was 10% what it should be. Fletcher demands you to craft, spam SP pot and press 15 buttons/ second to have medium-low dps. Hakka SP consumption is ridiculous and still, many skills from other tree dismount. Hunter Is LUL. Mergen feels sad to play if you don’t stack aoe and actually the only thing that makes mergen playable is falconer. Cannoneers had everything to be fun, but they re more burst oriented than dps… And in this game the only burst we see to work is shinobi. So…

Everything Archer does any other tree does with half investment.
