Ritsu's In-Depth Guide to Psychokino

Happy Halloween Saviors! Hope you’re enjoying the treats from this week’s patch. :satisfaction:

New Arts system and a new item made specifically for Psychokinos means new updates to this guide.

Also, I must heavily emphasize to fellow Kinos that grabbing the “[Arts] Teleportation: Return” attribute is absolutely not recommended. It overwrites the Psychokino attribute that gives Teleportation the extra overheat, which means we lose that extra mobility.

What do you think about the Heavy Gravity/Raise combo art? I don’t see any real description of what the art does apart from “launches to the air and makes fall to the ground”.

It’s not bad. It creates a new Heavy Gravity circle that will immobilize enemies (they can still attack) then knocks them up pretty high when it ends, similar to Earthquake.

Hello, fellow Kinos. The guide is now updated for Episode 12. There were no major changes done that affected this class, so the changes made are mostly minor details.

  • Terramancer is added under “5. Class Synergy”. Due to Terramancer’s design, it has no synergy with Psychokino (or any other class for that matter).
  • Psychic Pressure is now recommended to be maxed under “3. Skill Builds” for Psychokino builds with Cryomancer and/or Onmyoji. This is because Psychokino’s main strength, their great crowd control, now shines in Episode 12 Challenge Modes. When paired with Onmyoji, Psychic Pressure’s range greatly increases, so maxing it for the 19 target count helps a lot, especially in CM 6 and 7.
  • Removed a line under Teleportation’s skill detail that said it didn’t work if the designated spot to teleport to had an increased height difference. Wizards and Kinos rejoice, Teleportation now works on any elevation.

this build is more to pvp or pve oriented? and it is still viable atm right?

Cryo/Kino/Onmyo is a viable build for both PvE and PvP. Right now, it shines the most in Challenge Modes at Lv 421+ maps cause you can rotate through so many CC spells which makes your healer’s job much easier.

The link is a little outdated now. This is what I currently run, although I’m still trying to determine if Greenwood and Water Shikigami are still worth the points, so it needs adjustment: https://tos.neet.tv/skill-planner#2134k.254585.11243f5a7a85.1f34518a6a75.719fcae5

PvE. In PvP, you now get CC immunity so the build is less useful, but it’s still fine for defensive play (for example in Gemstone Feud).

Build is viable. I’ve stormed through episode 12 with it, and while people struggle to kill the final boss, the build allows you to kill it in a few seconds without taking any damage because you can perma CC it. Plus you will make CM with party a breeze.

nice~ thank you, i really love CC class
btw is there any priority for skill atrribute? kinda new so still trying to farm my attribute point

For offense, you’ll want to prioritize the following:

  • The Arts for Yin Yang Harmony
  • Enhance attributes for: Yin Yang Harmony, Toyou, Howling White Tiger, Heavy Gravity, Gravity Pole, and Frost Pillar. Those are the strongest offensive skills for the build.

The enhance for Magic Shield is also important for defense which helps a lot for the main purpose of the build.

Since a lot of people have been asking me about my Cryo/Kino/Onmyo build, I decided to share the link here for those interested: https://tos.neet.tv/skill-planner#2134k.254585.253f5a7a85.1f558a6a75.718e9fcae5

I have a question on this.
So PP at level 12 (ALONE) can hit all 16 ice walls provided it’s a 4x4 square? Or do i need the shikigami attribute to hit all ice walls simultaneously?

Is Rune Caster. Cryo Kino any good? I’m thinking the Rune of Protection might mitigate some damage, and I already have an Onmyo on another character, I sort of shy away from repeating classes…

I definitely understand the feeling of not wanting to have repeating classes.

You’ll need Fire Fox Shikigami to get Psychic Pressure to hit all of the Ice Walls. PP’s range without it will probably hit about half of them.

Cryo-Kino-RC used to be a thing when Rune of Ice buffed the damage of ice spells. Since it no longer does that anymore, there isn’t really any good reason to take Rune Caster now. Also, Rune of Protection only mitigates damage when you’re charging a skill, so it’s only used for the knockdown prevention the attribute provides.

Aww… I have no other options I guess…

you CAN hit all 16 ice wall tiles without fox shikigami but it requires a very specific placement

Here have a quick schema :

it’s only possible in diagonal, in straight line you can only hit 14 tiles max without the fox.

Oh wow, I did not know that. If that’s the case, what else can I sub Onmyo with?
Thanks for the tip

imo even without that onmyo is still the most optimal 3rd job for cryo kino because even with the strategy I showed you still gain the effect of proccing ice wall with gravity pole thanks to fox shikigami, the massive aoe damage it has, the CC with tiger and wood shikigami, and the synergy with rod usage between cryo and onmyo.

Other choices would be tao (with arts), pyro or sage. I personally play pyro cryo kino and it’s still fun to play even though the fireball x5 + PP combo has been deleted by IMC

You can actually use hell breath with Icewall but it surprisingly melts the wall faster XDDD. It has a nice damage when you place the boss in the middle of the icewall … frying while getting frostbites …

Another thing … Featherfoot Kurdaitcha also goes well with Icewall …

Frost Pillar > Kurdaitcha under the boss > icewall … then just watch as it kills itself …

Hello, everyone. I’ve returned to ToS and updated the guide. Feel free to use it again.

If you liked the guide, please consider visiting my blog. I write guides and other informative posts such as details about new updates and such. The majority of posts there never make it to the forums, so I highly recommend checking it out.

Not sure if this is not mentioned or i just missed it…
Raise resets Heavy Gravity(w/ arts) duration. Can have up to 9 sec heavy gravity if used correclty. (Cant do full 10sec coz of animation)

It was only mentioned how it worked with Misrus Staff under Heavy Gravity’s skill details. I added the information in. Thanks for noticing :’)
