Review programming code for items, refinements and transcendences

Hello people, I wish some GMs or even some developer responsible for TOS if there is any, give me an answer of that question.

I am a developer about 6 years, I work with C, LUA, PHP and others. I was also part of open source projects, being the latest from a Ragnarok emulator.

Yesterday as most know there has been a mistake in the time to use items due to dropping the channel.

My question is the following, what is the way that TOS uses to save the delay to use the item again.

This method is horrible because a channel fault should never reset the time of items.

The question is, is there a delay before the item is saved? Because the time in items must be saved in real time, to avoid what happened yesterday.

An example to not exist this problem that occurred yesterday would be when the item is used, the time is saved without any delay in a SQL table. So the player could topple the server, but the time to reuse the item was already saved in SQL and would not have happened as it did yesterday.

Honestly I think you should review the way salvage time was programmed for refinement, transcendence among other things that can be exploited easy.

Please change the way to save, it is not the first time this occurs in TOS

I’m afraid you’ll never be properly answered by a staff about this, also they probably won’t pay any attention to what you said.
I hope to be proven wrong. :disappointed:

i am pretty sure they know, the problem for US is simply that “our” staff has no power, the devs all sit in korea… you can invade inven forum if you want:D i am pretty sure the itos staff most likely have forwarded all server suggessions to the devs a long time ago

Edit you post OP, move it to >>>V

@staff members don’t read most of post in the Generals, else you good advice will be left to deaf ears.

edit: then again…
