Returning player: Archer AA Class now?

My current class is Archer3, QS3, CannonC2, is it still viable to be an AA archer nowadays after all the changes? Im amazed that Running Shot is 4mins now, paired with Kneeling shot. But i dont know in later content if it still viable ?

Well bazooka 10 from cannon3 is amazballz for long range AoE AA, but the problem is IMC hasn’t really addressed the skill lock out for non cannon skills. Not only that, if you go the ranged play style route offered by +80 range from bazooka 10, none of your other skills (except siege burst) can reach that far essentially locking those out as well.

I dunno what they did (it could be the bazooka attribute) but DEX won’t affect aspd while in bazooka stance “any more”. It’s the same for any aspd inc buffs.

If you can reset out of cannoneer, any archer is basically at least ra1 now because of the crit atk buff.

Thanks! I was actually thinking of going Archer3>QS3>Appraiser1>BM Path because i heard their skills stack with RS? is that correct?

If you have a character slot, I recommend going the falconer route: A1-Qs3-Ra1-Fa3-Bm1 instead of archer3. Then later for R10 you can go app. Otherwise you can fill it in with wugu2 to pick up the AoE slack.

Don’t go BM for AA. It’s objectively worse than musketeer AA (grooving muzzle is amazing), and it’s getting worse with the R10 patch, with the death of crossbow mastery, which muskets never ‘exploited’ to begin with. The AA BM thing is pretty much pure aesthetics.

Skill-based, crit-focused BM builds will be on top soon, and AA will be filler for them.

Unless you plan to PVP with freeze bullet. That’s going to be cool. That’s the only thing to look forward to with AA builds when BM3 hits.

Musketeer AA has a lot of downtime even if you go Musket 3, and you can’t go Falconer 3 with it. Part of the appeal of QS3 BM is that it works okay with Falconer 3 for a support/DPS build.

Kind of surprised that this is really being debated, and that SR hasn’t come up yet but

BM is a perfectly fine Auto Attack class and in C3 it’s getting some nice skills to go well with it, it also works with Kneeling Shot, Running Shot, and Overestimate.

Trying to use other Archers (Except SR) for auto attacks you’ll find that the skills outperform. Even BM to some degree has this, but Musketeer and Cannoneer especially have it. Skills usually have 3k%+ modifiers. Running Shot and Double Gun Stance are great sure, and Kneeling Shot isn’t that bad in PvE but in doesn’t compare to 3k modifiers, the advantage it has is consistency but when you got a class with many strong skills, trying to use it for auto attacks is just going to be weakening yourself.

I don’t play the class but Musketeer with all skills maxed would have 4 skills that go over 3k, and 2 that reach 2kish on top of a CDR skill. Naturally you can’t invest all skills to max level but even all level 1 there is still 1 skill at 3k% and one at 2800%. Every skill aside from that is over 1k. I’m not saying you can’t make it work as an auto attack class but 24/35 seconds autoing, the skills would still deal more damage and you’d be able to get a better result from just investing in the damage skills.

Cannoneer is doesn’t have this situation as bad since their skill factors are lower, but if you invest enough attributes in this character you’ll eventually get to the same point. With such powerful skills, auto attacks because a filler.

BM is the class that least has this issue, Smash Bullet is good, and there are a few others good for AoE situations, but the amount of damage skills is lower, this is the auto attack class (Also SR if you care about it)

Ranger-BM AA+skill still one of the top tier Velco DPS.

I’m interested in musketeer. Can you recommend a build (with the upcoming r10)
