So then they shouldn’t be buffing autoattack builds.

It’s changing Scout3 from consistent multi-target damage, which is its current niche (along with Hoplite3 Spear Throw) to burst damage, which means it will be competing with Cannoneer, Fletcher, etc.

This also means Archer no longer has any consistent multi-target damage, it only has consistent single target (Wugushi, autoattack build) and multi-target burst.

This is a huge shift in design for Scout and greatly devalues the class in my opinion.

Fletchers Crossfire mechanic got changed and could replace Scout3 in every aspect plus its WAY nices single target dps via Magic Arrow.

But Scout3 at its current state is rotten dead and super useless at any aspect.

for u all who glorify the DEX stat, here’s the thing u need to remember

if ur game ping is 100 or even higher, TOTALLY FORGET DEX build, attk speed build only work with ppl below 80ping ( 50± is the best , 20± godlike )

By making all 0cd skills become 10sec cd (with 5oh), I assume that they want us to use basic attack more

Basic attacks suck hard unless you have a class that is based on it. My guess would be more likely to create space for r9+ skills but expections are not really high enough to believe that. Its just another design failure.

What’s your point then? not all players here are good in English, as long as it is understandable then so be it. If you want to educate people then this place is wrong for you because this is an MMORPG.

but, oh well. I guess that’s forgivable since it’s iToS; not everybody could speak properly here. That and at least the discussion has changed direction anyway.

Then what if nobody complains about it? It is better to voice out so that our devs here can read something about the upcoming patch for what may be our suggestions to turn over to KTOS. I think it is better to react earlier to prevent more complains when the final patch is released.

Yeah I have to agree with this. We know the change isn’t finalized, but what’s the point of having tests and previews of changes if nobody voices an opinion on it? And I’m very solidly on the side that removing signature 0 CD skills is a bad design shift. The only one that kindof makes sense is changing Effigy to 3 overheat 5second cooldown since it has the 3-hit-combo bonus.

tbh I think that effigy should just remain a 0 cd skill, if they want to balance it because it’s overpowered with no cd then make the animation a little longer or the mana cost higher or something (I don’t know exactly what I’m not a game designer)

I agree that certain 0 cd skills should have cds but not effigy. Thing is most cleric classes don’t have that many attacks and a lot of them are behind really long cds…

DEX would be fine if it gave higher Evasion or you’d get more evasion via leather gear. Not only the statrework feels kinda sloppy but the equipment rework as well.
The intial system of all gears having different stats to upgrade was actually pretty neat, and it’s sad that those values aren’t even considered as unupgradeable substats anymore to distinguish more between different types of armor.
Again it’s Plate armor good Cloth armor good Leather armor bad.
You sacrifice hundreds of possible defence, just for a few critrate, so it seems so unreal that it should bite the developers.

Which 0 CD skill makes more sense than effigy for having a CD?

I’m swapping from plate to leather after this change TBH. Not every character has to be a tank, especially with the damage formula changing so that attacks don’t always do either 10,000 damage or 1 damage. This is pretty much how every other MMO ever balances armor, the low defense armor gives offense bonuses and a lot of people use it to maximize DPS. It doesn’t matter as much in ToS because DPS is no longer competitive (cuz world bosses are irrelevant) except maybe for Earth Tower DPS-check floors.

Thrust (mostly because of shinobi), Attaque Composee. Honestly those are probably it imo, the other abilities with a 10s cd 5 overheat are fine as long as the damage isn’t absurd and makes it so there’s no point in using other skills.

Scout is in a strange spot, I feel like that class should just be redesigned… But I don’t think IMC plans on actually making new skills for current classes.

Yes, it’s fun to play a game when you need to do combos or rely on your AA sometimes, not when you just have to spam one skill across all the map.

Oh god now spamming the same skill is a playstyle. Then go play Ragnarok Journey.

I think it is better to wait and see because IMC staff never listen to people before patchs plus you don’t even know what you are talking about as you didn’t test it yourself. You are free to complain here, as we are free to tell you why your POV is wrong.

Yes it is, and i keep playing RO. My favourite char is the classic hscr whitesmith spammer. If you dont like that way of playing that’s your problem. If you want to play a game with skill rotations and things like that, feel free to go to some wow clone, we brainless people who keep spamming a single skill because is the most efficient way to clear a dungeon will be fine without you

Oh cuz WoW clones are the only games where you can find rotation mechanics ? Assuming WoW is a good game Kappa.

Here I am toying with Arch C3, Scout C3.
STR and then Dex. My Ping does not allow me to actually reap the ASPD benefits of Dex so it’s not really conclusive.

Only attributes in play are Swift step lv 5 and leather armor mastery.

Then STR ranger c2, Scout C3 with the High anchoring crit resist attribute.

There is the 2h and 1h attribute to consider but I didn’t spend money on them.
Cannoneer would probably provide decent filler between split shots and obliques with its 5 CD skills.

Also weird fact.
It costs 1,325,000 Silver to max out Steady Aim’s attribute (which is why I didn’t put any into it) for an extra 150 damage. Lol wtf.

I guess you must find action RPGs like diablo 2, path of exile, etc. ■■■■■■■ awful since most of them revolve around spamming skills, huh? Instead of the super exciting use of autoattacks which differ from skill spam in… uh… the button you press.

I just say that because you say dont like that mechanic, and by the way imc didn’t nerf all 0 cd, double punch remains 0 cd, i can’t see why split arrow can remains as well
