Reset system will exist?

Will it be an NPC or something of the sort that will enable us to reset skills and/or stats?

Sorry if this question already popped.

Thank you in advance!

I would think this would be a cash shop feature.

I really hope not.that wouldn’t make any sense.

A lot of games nowadays place resets in the cash shop. It gets particularly ridiculous when those resets let you change literally everything about your character.

I hope that’s not the case. I mean, if I’m playing with a character that for some reason is deemed to be OP and they come with the nerf hammer and the char is no longer viable, in that case I have to pay in order to reset? That would ruin the experience imo,I would rather start a new char.

I think it makes plenty of sense. It’s easy money for them, and a penalty for not being more careful with your points.

A lot of people demonize cash shops, but these are people that need money from their jobs to live just like you and me.I’m happy to support them.

That’s precisely why. It’s basically paying for convenience (or rather paying to save a week or so.)

Personally I would allow a character a free reset once a week or so and have them pay to reset anything more often than that (keep in mind the game I would use this system for is not Tree of Savior.)

Yeah, that would be best.I guess that this building system is quite punishing to the players and I’m good with that, you live with the choices you make and a free reset would only ruin the game as well.

I think that limited resets per a certain period would be best.

absolutely, if the reset is a cash shop feature it would make perfect sense. You can’t expect everything to be free.

I disagree and I already posted why,but I respect your opinion.

I would go for a reset NPC that would charge us a fair amount of money and only 1 reset per week or month.

I wouldn’t be surprised if they made some new class that sells reset services. But it should definitely not be in the cash shop. This is a game where you’re supposed to experiment and try new things, punishing players for doing that makes no sense. They would make way more money having free resets and making a good, high quality game with a cosmetic cash shop. Do you know how many people will be spending hundreds of dollars for cosmetics on their characters?

I totally agree with you mmoperson9, nowadays people pay more for themed skins for players and equipments than for utility items. And i’m good with that, it makes the game balanced and not pay to win.

But don’t get me wrong,I do know that nothing is free and this game took a lot of effort and devs and the rest of the staff need to be rewarded for that, but cosmetich pay shop would definitely be a good thing.

I’d enjoy some sort of epic questline that let’s you do it.

Tbh majority of the games out now is suppose to experiment new things lol.

They could make a npc that resets your skill for a certain amount of ingame gold or a “new” credit system in which you obtain badges or whatever from mobs or quest to reset your skills.
But i think they would shift into the cash shop feature idea, since it is more profitable.

Yea a cosmetic system would bring in a large profit, however not many company shift it to cosmetic for some odd reason… cough - maplestory- cough pay2win- cough

LOL,that I would enjoy as well.

I don’t know how many of you are familiar with RO, but I always get myself to tears everytime I remember Lucifer’s Lament questline.

Quite epic and touching.

Good times

I think a reset would be fine as long as it’s just points/stats. Whether it’s an NPC in game or a cash shop item, doesn’t really matter to me.

I don’t want them to let you change your class decisions though.

Like specterr said this skill building system is very punishing. If you mess up stat / skill point distribution, there should be a way to reset them. I would prefer that there be a way to reset for in-game currency (even if it is very expensive), but I wouldn’t mind if it was a cash shop item either.

I assume this will be a cash shop feature. The game will lose a bit of its charm because of this , but we will just have to wait and see the long term effects of allowing players to take advantage of class resets.

I’m pretty sure its cash shop features. a good way for imcgames to get money ahaha

Yeah,I mean, I don’t have money to spend on games actually, thats why it bothers me personally, but the idea itself makes sense and I understand if its a cash shop feature, but in my humble opinion, would be better if it was paid on in game currency or a quest and/or limited times to reset during a period of time.
