Request with melee + mouse mode

If anyone is familiar with the “barely there” farming, this concerns the feasibility of that.

The current setup of mouse controls for swordsmen (i would imagine the same would apply to clerics) approaches and attacks whatever you left-click on. This will result in a gear-check-style combat, mostly relying on not having to dodge anything. this is obviously not how the game was intended to be played, but it is a valid way to play it nonetheless.

The request is:
Please pursue the enemy after auto-attacking starts

This means if (a) the enemy moves away as with their fleeing animation or (b) you are knocked back, your character will naturally get in range of the opponent prior to chaining auto-attacks again. I’ve observed that in this beta, if the distance changes whilst in a melee with the enemy mob, the character is left swinging at air; this is very bad if fighting anything with a damaging move with a longer reach than your weapon. If the character pursues the opponent then there is no dead air in the DPS as it should as this is the behavior of standard mouse-controlled “click to attack” games.

Scenario:
I want to farm the big hogma dudes while watching anime in another window. I have to glance at my screen to make sure i’m not dead and to click the next mob to attack. if the hogma dude pushes me away, i get stuck attacking air and it makes no sense why i could be left in this state for a while with the mob out-ranging me with some of its attacks thus making me take so much more unnecessary damage if we just flat out traded melee hits.

inb4 play the game properly

Also make the damn companion/allies non-left clickable. Make sadhu class usable with mouse. Allow a “right click move” option whereby you can move without possibly clicking on anything (like trying to make precise movement around a boss without stopping to auto-attack by accidental left click on boss).

Honestly I’d like for left click to literally just be an attack swing in the direction the mouse cursor is regardless of whether you clicked on a target or not, no movement. Would make playing on mouse control mode feel a lot better given that movement is binded to WASD as well.

Agreed about the companions/pets/allies thing though. Those shouldn’t be left-clickable on mouse mode and instead should be right-clickable.
