[Request] Please Provide "High-Rate" Server At Launch

My request is simple. After playing multiple classes to 60-90 range, and realizing how staggeringly difficult it is to get anywhere in this game even at 3x experience for iCBT, it occured to me that those of us with full time jobs & families will not be able to play this game effectively. We’ll be left in the dust by our friends (due to how the game is designed so linearly). Not to mention how punishing the system is designed.

I’m an old school hardcore EQ/DAOC/SWG/etc player with a full time job and a family now. However, I still manage to find time for games like EQ Progression servers, and “grindish” games. However, even I have to admit that Tree of Savior is far FAR too grindy for its own good.

We’re talking about a different server with a different ruleset. An ADDITION to what would already be provided at launch. This would allow players whom do not want the “ultra-hardcore-grind” of the 1/3rd rates that live is currently planned for.

Heck, even the “x3” rates we have right now in iCBT2 are slow as all heck. One of the largest issues is how hard it is just to get a build going. Why should it take upwards of 40++ hours to reach Tier6? That’s when the game should actually BEGIN given that you plan for 600 levels eventually. I’m fine with it taking years to reach 600 if I play roughly ~4hrs a day, not counting weekends (I have more time to play then due to job/family constraints during week), but absolutely not just to get to 300.

This would allow a larger audience to play TOS rather than the ultra-niche audience you’re currently targeting in the international community.

Thanks for Reading,
Cheers!

ps: PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do something about the horrible monster densities & lack of channels post 60!

Chill out. Probably there will be pirate servers with absurd rates for those who can only/like to play easy games.

Furthermore, how “simple” do you think it would be to assemble a whole new server with different ruleset/xp rates/class and mobs balancing/itemization/server hosting and ALL the stuff that would have to be taken care of just to make the game more adequate to you?

I’m pretty sure a good part of the point of requesting a server with these rulings is not having to rely in pirate servers and thus support the game.
While I highly doubt this will actually happen personally I would appreciate it, I like building characters but I just don’t have the time, everyone I played with at the start is already level 100-whatever while I’m 68, I’m enjoying it some obvious Beta related issues aside, but in reality I’ll hardly have the time when the game comes out, I’m still going to play it but it is a lingering personal issue.

And then you realize you eventually hit level 600 ^^. And there is nothing stopping you from playing with your friends anyway. You can farm bosses together, they can power level you, you can run dungeons for drops

I agree, just made a joke about it, as it seems pretty absurd to me.
Because it is really not that simple as the OP implied.

I dunno, i think these rates are ok if they are 3x. if there was a higher rate server i’d end up joining, capping and then leaving though. what lvl did you get to before you decided to post this?

Well, depends on your objective, there’s plenty fo people out there who are like me and love job systems and try out diferent combinations and setups, discovering weird combos that work oddly well or just playing gimmick builds, that kind of thing is the main appeal of this game if you ask me and I hope many others out there agree.
The regular MMO experience is fine, but this game’s main attractive is the massive ammount of combinations possible for your character, you are not going in and say ‘‘imma build a Dark kinght, imma play a Fire Mage’’, you can mix whatever the hell you want in a class, you can mix so much and giving people reasons to do so should be one of the main priorities of the developers as this will keep people hooked in the game on top of questing, grinding, dungeoning, PvPing and whatever other reason some people play MMOs.

This is not a game you should play simply to reach a cap.

I’m not playing to reach a cap, thats why the exp rate doesnt matter lol.

im one with OP but i prefer to make OBT rates like 5x or something. the fact that this max level cap for this game is 600, but not most of the players even reach the iCBT cap of 200. the rates is a bit questionable. im currently level 85 c4 FS char. playing like 3-4 hours a day. i want to test the other FS class build but it takes ages to class level and heck i doubt my main char will get to c6. and with the iCBT going to end withnin the next few days. it saddens me that i can prolly reach c5 main char without even have the time to create or experiment other class builds. and now i just read this iCBT has 3x rate. what will happen to OBT rates for us casual/not-so-grindy-players/with work/life/family person.

I agree with having the real grind after the halfway point or so, but not allowing people to reach max level in a short amount of time even if playing heavily. I want the game to take a really long time to get to max, but still be able make some progress into the classes in a decent amount of time.

We really dont know how it is at later levels since noone is there yet or what the rates will be like when released, but this is just my opinion on how id like it to work.
