You’re not stealing mobs because those mobs do not belong to anyone.
Stop implying that you’re entitled to something you’re not and using it as an excuse to judge others.

If you can’t understand it then your words hold no weight.
If you want to try and understand it, go play a full support cleric going priest. Stack on those “minutes” of delays and see how you like it.
@DavidHaller
We’re not going to agree here. You don’t believe in the same common courtesy that I (and a majority of players) do believe in, so this will just go circles. We’re probably from a different generation is all.
Joe isn’t any different from anybody else. There’s 1 mob, there’s 2 of us, we’re not partying, its a competition for it. If I’m an archer and he’s a swordsman, he’s supposed to twiddle his thumbs because I’ll always hit the mob first?
If he had his own and I had my own and he came after me that’s greed. If we both have nothing then its obviously going to get competitive.
If you and I were both starving on the street and saw a piece of bread I know damn well you might still attempt for it even when I’ve touched it because you’re hungry. It would be absurd to think you’d put me over yourself in a situation where you’re just as in need. Again this is a video game but it causes the exact same psychology when you have perceived scarcity. We could get into this dialogue all day but its simply going in circles. Upping the mob count decreases Kill stealing because it mentally creates a perception of abundance and logistically occupies others time so they’re less able to steal kills even if they wanted to. The only thing in the current climate is for players to party more but again, most people are stuck in a competitive mindset of Me vs Them. IMC’s restrictions help perpetuate this.
Well sorry if ToS problems aren’t a heartbreaking issue for me the way they are for you guys (in this case a non-issue to be honest).
I’ve met KSers who do it just because. You’re dreaming if you think it’s always done out of necessity. There could be 1000 mobs. As soon as the person sees 10 are left and a person is fighting them, they will kill steal. That’s the kind of attitude and mentality KSers have.
As for your bread example, I have self-respect and pride. I’m not about to snatch a loaf of bread out of a hungry person’s hands because I am also hungry. I’m not an animal. I’m a human being.
I never said it’s done just out of necessity. What part of the many times I said reduces not eliminates was not clear.
You’re sitting here talking about dreams when the reality is that increased supply reduces the competition and you’re here getting into circular arguments.
Reduction doesn’t solve the problem. There will still be kill stealers and the mentality will continue to breed.
Impeccably circular.
It takes two to argue and your points haven’t change in the last three posts. You keep saying that increasing mob spawns will reduce competition and I am saying that it doesn’t really matter in the long run as people will still kill steal. That’s all there is say. I don’t know what you’re disagreeing with.
Human beings are animals.
Pride is almost never a virtue.
There is nothing unethical about killstealing because people can’t steal something from you that doesn’t belong to you in the first place.
He’s implying that math wins in most cases.
If you have 10 players who need 10 of the same mob from the same quest and there are only 5 mobs that spawn in that area, everyone is going to feel pressured to kill those same mobs.
If you have 10 players who need 10 of the same mob from the same quest and there are a thousand of those mobs in that area, people will be able to kill their 10 and go on with the next quest and even if someone accidentally takes 1 or 2 of yours, it won’t matter because there are still tons of them around to kill.
There will always be people who grief to grief, but the amount that this happens is often times greatly exaggerated and usually perpetuated by the “victim” for insulting someone else for taking one of their mobs in the first place whether by accident or not.
Not that it matters because it’s not their mobs to begin with.
You play a Ranger/Barbarian, don’t you?
I have a support Krivis.
I have a Quarrel Shooter.
I have a Sapper.
And I’m working on a Cryo Linker.
Thinking about remaking the Krivis to Priest. Can’t decide if Daino or Blessing/Sacrament is more important.
Go Cryo Linker. You will help everyone out a lot. You can use Joint Penalty to help people kill enemies you need.
Oh and try making a Full Support Priest.
Maybe you need to be KSed a few dozen times before it sinks in that kill stealing is a social concept that the majority of the player base is not okay with.
Full Support Krivis has a weaker offense than Support Priest, since you apparently don’t know and still want to pretend that everyone else is ignorant.
This is the stupidest thread I think I have ever seen.
The naivety and pettiness, oh lord.
Can u guys imagine how much fun it is for my linker to use my 15 sec cooldown to connect monsters then get in position to pull them together and when they are gathered in front of me 95 % of archers and 80% swordmans use that moment to ■■■■ me up and ks all my monsters doesnt matter if its a monster crowded or empty place they just use my links to completly ks me. Its really annoying but the worst is so far only one guy said sorry for ksing mostly they ignore me but some even say ■■■■ you when u tell them to stop ksing u. The community is so far away from the old ragnarok community its really sad.
I just can’t believe that people thinks that KS is normal or nothing wrong… Where is the good sense and ethics in those people?
Tried to play nice, tried to be a thoughtful archer? Cleric runs up and steals all my mobs. >_>;
I think I’m done playing nice.
