The report bot feature is not for your emotional displeasure.
You’re better off reporting IMC to IMC so that they add some monsters to kill on their map so everyone can get something.

IMC will add more monsters and the KSers will be there , nice solution bro

Being an archer who has unintentionally KSed several times, I facepalm at this thread.

It’s too easy to KS as an archer and although some straight up don’t give a crap others aren’t trying to KS you. Also if there wasn’t such a lack of monsters and spawns you could do your own thing while they controlled their own area.

The mobs do not belong to you so how are they stealing them?

Yeah and you’ll have mobs to kill so you’ll move on with your life instead of tripping because there’s only 1 mob going two ways.

A lack of monsters is no excuse. Even if I need a monster for a class advancement, I don’t kill steal. It’s common courtesy to leave a monster who is engaged in battle with another player alone.

A lack of spawns is no excuse for being a savage.

I second this. Let’s all report IMC, this lack of stuff to kill has to stop!!!11111one

If I see someone fighting a mob then I just look elsewhere unless they’re showing suspicious bot-like behavior, in which I’ll usually throw down an anvil to see if they attack it.

However for others, I’ve seen all classes run up to mobs I was fighting for quests+exp and KS them off me which usually results in me having to blow every AOE skill I have in my arsenal… hence the accidental KSing, just to secure my own kills.

A lot of people want quests over with now, so they do any means to complete it… so it isn’t really an excuse but more-so a reality.

There’s a couple of factors into determining whether it’s intentional or not. First you could try telling them to stop KSing, add ‘please’ if needed be, if they don’t respond it might be a bot, if they responded like a douchebag its definitely intentional if they backed off and/or apologized its all good. And there are some people who lacks a lot of awareness and has a reaction rate of a noob, lol.

I however am ■■■■■■■ awesome at it, so Godlike, I can discern people that actually needed help and the ones that needed to be left alone with just a glance. My archer skills are air tight, I am the bone of my sword, all that good ■■■■.

So don’t kill steal if that’s your thing.

Nobody owes you that courtesy and it doesn’t make them less of a person for not upholding your ideals on what constitutes respectful gaming etiquette.

It does make them less of a person. It shows a lack of manners and consideration.

If someone thinks it’s respectful to fart when you meet a new person and you don’t do it, does that make you less of a person because you don’t agree?

If it is done maliciously, then yes. I can’t believe I have to justify this. Is this just how the current generation is? Killstealing is okay?

I dont care if its intentional or not. I was on my sadhu getting ks’d to hell sometimes by bots but you know what bugged me more?
Waiting for flipping mobs. That quest required 100 of an enemy, there were 8+ people doing it per channel, many of those were bots, so partying was already a flopped option. Just give me mah mobs so I can finish the quest and move on to bigger and better things.

If we’re on the same quest and I kill some of your mobs to finish my quests, that isn’t “malicious.”

If I’m following you around killing your mobs just to piss you off, that’s malicious and that’s griefing.

Killstealing is an idea that stems from a sense of entitlement over mobs. Again, you don’t own those mobs because you hit them. They aren’t YOUR mobs, otherwise people wouldn’t be taking them from you in the first place.

It is. If I am attacking the mob and engaged in battle with it, it is my mob. I didn’t start the battle so that you could get credit for my work. I started the battle, I am attacking it. What gives you the right to just walk over and finish it?

That is completely malicious. You are aware that I am fighting it but you see no problem with taking or sharing credit. Your free-for-all attitude is sickening. Sure, let’s go steal kills from the Wizard C2 or the Priest. How about we wait until they’ve weakened it just enough before jumping in?

The fact that you don’t see a problem with this tells me that you probably play a Ranger or a Barbarian.

I don’t even think KS is an applicable term in ToS since kill rewards aren’t based on a last hit mechanic, but in the percentage of damage inflicted. DPS classes are able to kill mobs faster and progress quickly through quests where there’s a low mob count in the same way that a AoE class can finish faster a quest where there’s a high number of mobs and you need to kill a lot of them.

By this thread logic I should report all priests because they don’t heal me and I have to buy health pots to grind while they don’t. Life is so unfair.

Ksers tryng justify your acts…shame

Your logic is completely faulty. Whether or not you can kill an enemy faster should have no barring and whether or not you decide to finish off mobs a player is engaging with.

I don’t think you understand what this thread was about.
