You don’t only lose potential. It also takes off your 30 trades for the month.
Yea, there is lots of problems with this team storage system
Trading with your own char still mean "trade"the same occurs to trade with your friend and a random player
that is because the developer lazy programming. a general code for 1 trade = -potential.
since team storage is consider a “trade” it lose potential. they probably trying to recode it.

as Anarth said, IMC has changed that. now players wont reduce potential anymore,and just an additional info in case u do another fake shot :x
u can trade premium items across all ur chars now.
