Did you buy Mana Pots/camp fires? I was a full CON Peltasta and leveled mostly through grouping. I noticed I would be attacking for 60’s while casters would blast them for huge amounts of damage and always get the loot.
I could use my skills as well but since I have no Spirit and my gear didn’t focus on SP I would run out quickly. My solution was to buy low level SP pots and wood for fires. And even with that I was still turning a profit. Firewood is cheap and effective. If I can do it as a Peltasta and you should be fine.
If you aren’t aware Barbarians were nerfed, and if they continue to be over powered I imagine they will be balanced against.
But if you expect Wizards to tank as well as Warriors, do as much auto attack damage as Barbarians while they are over powered, and evade as much as a Ranger, and still have their awesome spells-You might be expecting too much and suffering from the grass is greener on the other side syndrome. Except for barbarians those guys are crazy OP but they are being balanced because of that.

I’ll ask again. Did you buy Sp Pots/Firewood?
I played a gimped Wizard (just to 25) and I say gimped because I left EarthQuake at lvl 1 and Energy Bolt at lvl 1 and found it WAY easier than my swordsman/peltasta.
I could jump/attack and never get hit ever. I would do that to aggro a bunch and gather them and then use earthquake/energybolt to kill them after they were grouped. Way faster. And when I was in parties I got loot more often. Made paying for the above mentioned items pretty easy.
Hahaha, oh man, did I make you cry? Sorry about that. Next time use some SP Pots, and firewood for camp fires. Maybe keep a damage spell at level 1 so you have a low cost SP Spell to kill trash with and save your big spells for bosses.
It’s not fair to play your class wrong, and then expect them to balance the game around that. Especially if you want Wizards to have the survival of tanks, the evasion of archers, and the auto-attack damage of the most OP class in the game (That was just nerfed).
Though it seems obvious that you just want your class buffed and now you are throwing a tantrum. Much like a toddler would. Doesn’t help your argument too much though
Honestly, i played an archer, a wizard and a swordsman class in the iCBT, all of them to level 35+ (the character that I leveled the most was 61). And in all honesty, wizard classes are perfectly fine, dude you are the only class that have an aa animation cancel to “manually” boost your attack speed, your aa are magic type so you murder ghost monsters and deal 100% of your dmg to other armor type monsters AND your aas scale with your Matk I mean it’s brutal. I ditched all my stats points into int because mana pots were cheap enough and spirit mana regen was like too weak compared to the regen of the pots and I gemmed for SP on my top and pants, like level 4 blue gems that like doubled my mana pool. My aas were almost as strong as the ones of swordsman classes at these levels (and they hit like a truck), like they hit for ~200 and I was hitting for ~150 + my skills were just nuts, I mean, I maxed Ice spike and I was juste murdering stab-weak monsters like literally one shotting them in AoE with Ice pike.
So yes you’re so brittle that if you take basically any huge ass attack from mobs or a boss you’ll blow up, but appart from that, your damages are insane (quite long cooldown but the more you level and the more circles you have the more skills and then you can basically skill for all day), and your aas are very very good. So ok it’s true that you don’t scale with crit but with the utility and damages of your spells it’s more than fine especially since you’re like one of the only class that can literally ditch every single point of stats into INT for more than a 100 levels and be perfectly fine.

You have literally responded to every post I made in this topic-I do admit that you responded extremely poorly and acted like a kid but that reflects on you, not me.
This post is another example of you responding to me just in a very poor manor. You avoid all the topics but you still try your hardest to attack my character, and make personal attacks.
You are a person who can’t play his class, and throws a fit when people offer him suggestions, and then instead of debating, or taking advise starts crying and lashing out-I don’t think anyone would want to be on your level or seek any privilege that involves communicating with you.
And here you are still comparing Wizards auto attack to a class that was just nerfed because it was over powered. The goal isn’t to make every class as powerful as barbarians were before the nerf, it’s to continue to bring barbarians down to be balanced with the other classes lol.
Well you’re supposed to draw mobs with autoattack and then murder them by the dozen using spells.
Sure, swordsman is probably more efficient becaus his buffs are cheap and mobs right now do too litte damage in my opinion. You can just stand there and wail away.
Still going to play wizard at launch. If you put some points in spirit, use spells efficiently and use the occasional campfire, his farm speed ia pretty good.
I agree with @cosx774 to the fact that it is true that Wizards (everything in its branch) should not rely on their auto attacks and they should always be feared or favored for their SKILLS!!! Right now I cant use my skills often enough because of cooldowns and if I could the SP regen is crap so I gotta spam pots. Its not fair that Wizards have to bring firewood and sit while swordies/clerics just get to swing their swords/maces and kill everything.
Sometimes while I was a pyro I did not feel so useful in a party because I had to get close to do skills and other classes could just auto attack it before I could do much, resulting in me using my below average auto attacks to lvl.
@cosx774, your strange obsession with swordsman, the faceroll™ class, is starting to wake me up in the middle of the night with a cold sweat. Just take it easy mane.
the good news is several people complained about Wizard’s inefficience and SP regen in the iCBT survey, I hope IMCGames will show some love for Wizards
Please understand that he isn’t the only one who came to the same conclusion, I tested both wizard & swordman in iCBT and wrote my feedback: SP regeneration ticking is too slow and needs improvements
Not to mention INT scales like ■■■■.
Wizard autos have a few advantages, they can’t be evaded and outside of enemies with high magic res they don’t have any penalty (and do extra damage vs ghosts).
I think the idea was to force you going Pyro and/or Thaumaturge if you wanted them to be strong. I personally wouldn’t be against more auto attack enhancer in the wizard tree.
Tbh I played pyro up to level 45 and cleric to 44 and i found the mage/pyro faster to level than the cleric.
i think wizzard,archer,clerc are balanced
u just mad because swordman class have a stronnnnnng aa and aoe dmg in aa
this class is frustrating but if they balanced this class
the game is ok
Holy ■■■■ kid, stay mad and get good at playing the damn game
