Rebirth system (And how you'd want to see one)

Just something random to discuss, I usually always loved rebirth systems in MMO’s and feel most don’t utilize them well enough.

How would you guys like to see a rebirth system?

Personally I’d like to see it as:

When you reach cap, players can perform a quest that lets them be reborn. This will revert them back to level 1.
Players’ previous points will be “remembered” (bonus points), so that they may gain bonus points depending on their previous point allocation
(http://puu.sh/owg44.png this stuff)
Players will begin as a C4 of their base job, for example a swordsman will become a C4 swordsman. This will also help greatly for job scaling later on.
Players will only be R1, this will give them 6 new options to choose from, greatly expanding their options.
Players have access to c4 of jobs, for example one could become a Reborn Elementalist
Players can make a new path, this means that the rebirth is treated like a job reset to fix mistakes.
All quests reset
20% EXP boost (or maybe 30?)

By the way C4 Base would probably be as strong as a r4 job

Thoughts? how would you like to see a rebirth system? Share share

I’d like to see a total circle reset implemented in a form of a Rebirth.

A premium item allowing to reset character to job lvl 1 of his main profession (without modifying stats), then allowing him to job level up at incredible speed until the level reset was used - this includes choosing all the circles in process and doing corresponded quests.

This will allow for an immersive circle reset that is not fast at all and also costs money - because this kind of thing obviously shouldn’t be made too easy to access and use, as it will ultimately ruin player’s experience on the larger scale.

dude we have level 600 max and you want a rebirth ? seriously ?

It’s 280, which people were able to obtain in the few 2 weeks (or less) of early access…

Also, I believe Ragnarok had a sort of rebirth system to it (although completely different as I’d like ours to utilize the job system), and that game takes an incredible amount of time to cap…

Yes but before the op classes came out, cap lvl was 99 not 280. And there are quite a few efficient ways for parties to cap.

today’s cap is 280. but their plan is 600 and rank 15 or 10 ??
