Really need help building bow circle into Falconer C3

With the upcoming reset i’m retiring my hunter3/falc3 which is just too limited for my purposes though i wouldn’t be surprised when we finally get the pet changes like attributes + pet equips that hunter pet turns out dealing amazing damage and i’m getting IMC’ed… still, don’t really wanna wait around for that.

I’m looking to change it into a bow user with the one requirement that i end up with falconer C3.

Emphasis on the bow weapon since i already have a QS3/cannoneer2 and my hunter/falc also used xbow/offhand except for airborne bosses.
As such i really want to use a bow this time around even though QS3/falc3 is the popular choice.

i’ve looked up possible combinations and it really seems like my options are limited if i want to use a bow with falc3.

A2/Ranger3/falc3 is pretty much the only option i see but dunno how it would turn out damage wise(especially with circling attribute).

or maybe i should just bite the dust and say goodbye to my lvl 300 falcon and go for something like fletcher3/mergen instead.

advice anyone?

thanks.

Maybe a single rank in scout? flare shot + aiming seems like a great thing to me, basically anything that would deals dots seems like a good thing along aiming.

PS: you heathen, we hunter 3 are few. atleast you know our pain and decided to betray us, hope you well. betrayer…

You could also go with something like A3/Wugu2 or A2/Sapper2/3 (with Scout added)
Sappers are rare so it might actually be nice to get some more of 'em

don’t know if using scout would be worth the sacrifice of either A2 crit or R3 extra dmg… though the dot is nice.
if i went that route i could see it be like A1/R3/Scout1/falc3.

sapper is apparently also a xbow/off-hand class even though i’ve seen some amazing falc3 combos.

wugushi looks interesting but i’m wondering if i’m gimping myself by being forced to leave it at C2 especially since C3 is apparently weaker than sapper even with the incoming buffs since poison doesn’t crit.

not to mention A3 seems like a waste overall… if only wugu was a circle 3 class >_>

i’m guessing my “best” choices so far are A3/wugu2 or A1/R3/Scout1/falc3. but would still like to know if ranger3 works well with falc3.

To my experience circling’s attribute benefits greatly multihits skills that hit many targets, that’s why multishot is so nice along with it lately. But it also benefits skills that hit many things at once for one hit. I’ve never had a ranger, is barrage good on its own? does it do anything with circling without atribute and how it behaves with the attribute?

I’m sure there’s people with the possible builds around but haven’t talked yet. It’d be nice to hear from them. Good luck, betrayer.

None of sapper’s skills have a specific stance

wouldn’t be a waste if you reroll that build? that one is hard to level but is really strong in end game content like ET30+ floor, there are videos where they use hunter3 for higher ET, I wouldn’t reroll that one since there is nothing wrong with the build, would rather make one since its a good build already

he uses barrage here in the first few seconds of the video and it seems to work. dunno if it’s good damage or not though compared to multishot.

hey if i want to switch back to hunter could always wait for the next reset voucher they hand out

i got the impression that xbow/off-hand was the best choice even if it’s not a class requirement so maybe i’ll set myself back too much if i went with bow instead.

i mentioned in my first post that the class is just too limited for “my own purposes”… i rarely do pvp and i haven’t even been to ET yet so it’s hard to justify keeping it around.

anyways i just learned that wugu poison dot probably doesn’t work with circling so at best i’ll only be able to use it with aiming.
on the other hand if i go A3 i’ll get 15 multishot which as you mentioned is really good with circling/aiming.

the guy in the video only has it at 10 and he’s A2/ranger3/falc3.

its harder to pull multishot 15, but anyways if you wanna remake then its your choice for me I just won’t throw that away might as well reset the qs3 canon2, what is your other purpose anyway? other than being a bow user which hunter3>falc3 already can do?

mostly bossing but also general pve where hunter’s only real benefit is crowd control without providing much dmg which basically forces me into group play which isn’t available most of the time.

i’m keeping cannon2 around since they’re getting buffs and at some point cannon3 will be released which might end up even better just like how most people said falcon2 was useless but regret they didn’t stick with it in anticipation for falcon3.

i’ve basically seen most of what hunter can do and it’s time to move on =P.

ohh then why falc on bossing?? falc won’t do any for bossing, same as general pve, there are other archer circles that are better on bossing and general pve, like fletcher that would still get a shot for cubes, but if you have guild or party always like I did then falc3 is ok, its not brokenly overpowered that people regret not taking falc2 lol. its more of a party play class but is really hard on solo questing higher content unless you can cc them.

If you really want to stick to falc3 then maybe you can go the route people above suggested like sapper-scout since you wanted to stick with bows only but its not gonna be for bossing or your typical general pve like your purpose was.

A2-Ra1-Sc1-Ro1-Fa3
A3-Sc1-x-Fa3
A1-Qs3-Sc1/Ro1-Fa3 (but you said you don’t want Qs3 anymore)
A1-Ra3-Ro-Fa3

i’m not looking for a fast boss killer but it’s nice to know i can at least do “some” damage instead of having to rely on others.

remember falc3 advancement boss? i spent like 15-20 minutes killing it because i had nothing but rush dog/multishot/autoattack with pardoner buffs…

even if i could kill that same boss 5 minutes faster with another class, that would be an improvement over hunter to me.

also, i’m not going ET anytime soon or do much pvp which again makes hunter pretty much useless for most of the stuff i do in the game.

i can’t abandon falconer since i’ve already lvled my falcon up to 300 and i’ve gotten used to the amazing synergy it provides… now i just need to find a bow class that works well with the same synergy.

how about a2-ranger-scout-rogue-falcon3?
my steadyaim+feint+barrage can do 7k30 hits. barrage is rank2 skill, so it is pretty cheap to has 100 attribute. because it is multihit, any small increase in dmg will be multiplied by 30. i.e 8k30
the only downside is you need point blank range to use it

Have you seen what Aiming and Arrow Rain can do?

That damage is ridiculous.

Well if Falconer wants to use it himself, he has to wait for r9 though XD…

ofc I know, I play with a mergen friend. Read his post, he wants falc3 not falc1 for the build so there are no huge dps path before r9 with falc3 until we get the buff

This sounds like a good idea but how about going for it fully with something like A1/R3/rogue1/falc3?

i would be giving up multishot10+25% crit but gain steady aim+barrage at 15 and basically go all in for the combo.
either that or i go A2/R2/rogue instead and get the best of both worlds.

the combo with scout’s flare shot might seem like too much though.
i’m thinking falconer aiming > feint(20secs) > flare shot(15secs) > circling > multishot x 2 > barrage x 3.

also, i read the main issue with barrage is the small hitbox(since you mentioned point blank range) but wouldn’t that be solved with aiming you think? maybe that’s a question i should ask in the falconer thread.

also, i like the idea of working mergen into it at rank 9 but i bet either a better class will come out or i’ll probably feel too weak with C1 when others have mergen C2 >_>.

thx again for the ideas all.

sorry for the late reply. a2r2 is better than a1r3. the reason i choose scout is because for me all of scout skill is very useful. fluflu1 for provoking, camouflage for safety wall, cloaking for bossrush, questing amd exploring.

your combo order should be like this:
aiming-(circling-flareshot-multishotx2)-(feint-barragex3)
rogue can capture circling and flareshot

barrage is like shotgun, spread dmg, the closer you are to the enemies, the better your barrage dmg is. i never try aiming+barrage combo, hopefully it works
