im quite confused (based on the video). a wiz can manage to lure so many mobs compared to a swordsman who almost died luring few mobs alone.
NOW… where is the so called buffs for swordsman? damage? oh please. even a wiz can manage that.

unless those negative effects are really warranted assuming rank9 and rank10 swordie classes are really gamebreaking.
Wow wait… You mean, the swordsman, the more tank-oriented class and 99% melee, deals less damage, is less resistent, and lures less mobs than a dps class? And it’s the only class I’m willing to play… Great.
At this point, why wouldn’t they delete the swordsman class for something like, dunno, a “thief” path…
Only class I enjoy playing is also swordsman. I got a 280 pelt 3 rode 3
hop 3 dragoon, and cataphract. But after seeing these videos and hearing korean tos players talk about swordsman, some kind of change needs to be done. Its just really bad experience compared to other classes.
Well no matter. The forums just consists of swordsman complaints anyway. Nothing new.

Seems like this argument is based on swordsmen solo. But I’m more interested in balance for team. Are you a kToS player and have you played the strong swordsmen builds in a party?
The issue is that in a party where only 5 member can join, a swordsman’s job is usually to tank or at least swashbuckle to get initial aggro.
If a swordsman wants to dps, there are many factors like being melee, buffs having drawbacks, and wizzard dps being simply better (cannot miss, monster armour doesnt matter, ranged, cc)
Only thing swordy provides is 30% exp boost and being able to taunt initially with swash buckling ( which we get at rank 2, 3 ,4 with peltasta)
And with sage being able to just mitigate magic attack, support cc mage with sage is best tank, which is really sad…
At high lvl content, like ET and new content, its just not possible for swordsman to be viable.

if you play swordsman in iTOS there really isn’t much difference in kTOS until they give swordsman a buff that has % scaling, just like what they did on guardian.
tbh im wondering why as of this moment are they not changing the flat scaling of gungho (guardian’s counterpart) to % scaling which gives me the idea that they really want to keep the swordsman class trashed / exp bonus fillers in parties.
oh and dont believe the rumors about dragoon and fencer rofl they just got nerfed a while ago., they were considered overpowered from the early release mainly because people from kTOS are still figuring out how to bring out other classes’s new ranks to its full potential.
Yeah, like wizzard gets 50% damage boost, and archers get 25% crit rate but swordsman doesn’t have % buff increase skill at low rank…
Oh… I’ve heard of the nerf… really sad… like why…

they really need to make mages need dex, i find it a bit unfair that they are the only class that doesn’t miss and also have alot more free stats ._.
sadly imc officially said that magic attacks are designed to be that way…
I would gladly swap missing with being able to Crit. Oh I can hear the cries now Lol.
Edit: It’s rather funny because before I even started ToS or really invested much thought into it, I wanted to run a DEX/Wiz Crit build. Yeah, until I learned Wizards couldn’t crit and I wasted 30 points Lol.
