yeah, some skill only useful for mobbing(spread shot), some for bossing (arrow sprinkle, down fall), and some for both (homing arrow, zenith)… do you think triple arrow good for both too?
With the buffed Triple Arrow, yes I believe so
The buff that Triple Arrow increases hits depending on AoE attack ratio is insane. At 20 AAR, it hits 1 target with 18 hits. With Falconer, this new mechanic will work in a way that if you got 20 AAR, you will hit 20 small mobs 18 times each. More if you have higher AAR
I grin when I see fletcher mergen mains slowly switching to falco-mergen, maybe starting to realize how useful utility is.
correction:
triple arrow: TRIPLE attribute also has -50%dmg, so even if it hits max 18xwith 20AAR per OH, your final dmg will still 3x normal triple arrow dmg, just like the one currently functioning at itos
What’s the math on how much AAR with the new triple to do at least the same amount it does now because it’s going down from 2/3rd dmg to 1/2 dmg?
A=normal Triple Arrow SFR
present TRIPLE:
[Triple Arrow] damage is reduced to 2/3 per arrow, but the number of hits is increased to 3
Ax2/3x3 = 2A
Future TRIPLE:
with <5AAR (2hit)
Ax2x50% = A (better turn off the attribute)
with 10 AAR (4hit)
Ax4x50% = 2A (like present TRIPLE)
With 20 AAR (6hit)
Ax6x50% = 3A
I missed that bit where it is -50% dmg due to attribute
But with high AAR (around 20 where ppl will aim for), then it is still a buff if Im not mistaken?
yes, thats correct. I still doubt triple arrow will be useful for bossing, hard to trigger explosion at single target
How are you guys attaining 20 AAR currently? Is that with circling on?
Thinking if I need to spend on headgears with AAR to prep for this.
Max I have is 26 I think (if I push it) but toned down a little bit since I think it feels overkill (without Circling on, without Dionysis)

try to simulate mergen skill for bossing with excel ( condition: only spamming 1 skill for 400 second)
surprisingly Spreadshot come second for bossing.
all skill are with 0 enhance attribute, except triple arrow already using TRIPLE attribute+20AAR
my 20AAR consist of:
6 centaur card
2 asio bow
2 skiaclipse plate gauntlet
1 enchant gem
4 abyss bracelet
2 nepag bracelet
3 from korup set
i try to not depend on circling +3AAR attribute, SP cost too high
but in downfall , you cannot cast it at the same time right? because 10.5s duration of it as a debuff to boss adding like 10.5 cd to it too? or am i wrong and 2 downfall can stack ?. so with this spreadshot will come at top?
and one question, can +3aar in enchant can come from unique or only in legend jewel?
you’re right, it can’t stack, just recast 2nd downfall at 10 sec duration, or use downfall lv 14 which is exact 10 sec duration

so with that, spreadshot is suprisingly the no.1 dps for bossing. i always underestimated that skill… thanks for that quick dps check i need to rethink my skill allocation again

Indeed Spreadshot can do good dmg on single target, given it does 5 arrows (iirc). I remember clearly I was advocating for Spreadshot pre rebuild as it surprised me, dealing cap damage per hit in Solmiki tower 35f runs in the past
Wow that Homing arrow. I love that skill I am very happy to see it contends in par with dmg
After buff patch + art release, there won’t be enough points to take full advantage of all the buffed skills. I still have no idea what to do… Seems like Homing/Triple are still worth maxing, Downfall for bossing, now Speadshot/Zenith is worth skilling (I didn’t before).
With that, Downfall comes to 5th position right ? At 234000 total SFR.
I’m still in doubt about a bread-and-butter build, but I think I’ll have maxed Spreadshot, Homing Arrow, Zenith and Triple Arrow.

So in the end we will have different skill allocations, mainly depends which aspect you want to be useful for: bossing or mobbing
Personally I’d just go mobbing… If i went for bossing, then I must pick fletcher to maximize single target dps rather than falco imo
soloing misrus force us to have bossing capability too
is a flexible skill which is great for both AOE and single target
