[Rant] No matter how you see it this was an INCREDIBLY unprofessional release, mostly for NA

No matter how you see it, this release was pretty much EU-centric rather than for NA.

From the point of name-grabbing.

  1. IMC set the release day themselves, confident they could do a decent release.

  2. They set the time for 2 AM in america, 7AM in europe.

  3. They had 10 days to prepare for the release (they claimed this) based on what they were selling, yet somehow, there were “unexpected problems” that would take up to 4 hours to fix and was announced 10 minutes before release.

  4. Without a set time information, your only hope at getting the name you wanted was, as an american, open the game every 5 minutes at 3 AM. Europeans could leisurely do so at 9-10 AM.

  5. The final release time was optimal for EU, around 10-11AM compared to 4-5 AM for america.

No matter how i see it, the message was:

“Tough luck for the largest demographic and potential largest source of income if they want to get the team name and character names they wanted!!!”

A “they had to do a release unfavorable for americans to avoid the server from getting overloaded” excuse doesn’t work here. The 10 days before release were exclusively to prevent that.

They made players pay for founders pack with that intention, measure the amount of players and prepare accordingly.

This is not about playing the game at the release, it’s about taking the desired team names and character names.

Needless to say, im incredibly disappointed by how EU-centric this was and how little IMC cares about american players that wanted to get their desired character name.

Edit: Im not even addressing the 1000+ players queue…wasn’t this supposed to not happen after they measured how many players would be on the founders release?

IMC showing again how to be amateur.

screw u and learn about a stuff or two before u talk. no one can prepare for the mass amount of people

Lol. I defend IMC on this point.

Remember when Diablo 3 released?

The servers were nuked. The lag made the game unplayable. You couldn’t even connect. You could only play the day after (or even two days after).

Any new game face problems in the release. Get over it, guys.

Its just a name wow :open_mouth: if thats your biggest problem you are one happy guy/gal/dog?

Another day, another salty “I can’t have my cake and eat it too” post.

Hey, I’m American. Eastern Seaboard too. I admit the EU pandering does get on my nerves, but not because I don’t know how it feels to play with high ping or to not have a server (Servers are very commonly opened in NAWest due to company surroundings).

The only reason I was salty about it was the freeloading sway peeps who literally made one post to say, “No EU server? No cash gg Liked this game too”. And that’s pretty much the same attitude you’re giving off here. They can’t cater to everyone, but they’re trying to which is admirable.

Also if you’re this salty from not being able to name your Team something generic I’m…sorry?

What do you mean MOSTLY for NA? You mean MOSTLY FOR EU. We’re on the other side of the world and we not only have to deal with lag and high ping but a 600+ waiting queue wtf?

At least you guys get low latency.

I can see why would people try to defend them, but on this case, it cannot be compared to other releases like ‘Diablo’.

There is little to no excuse for this after they made people pay for the exclusive reason to prepare servers to handle the amount of players.

I say is foolish to cater for a minimal, inconsequential part of your community, while pretty much screwing the largest.

Is a business, if want to profit it’s completely illogical to make things harder for your potential main source of income (in terms of name-grabbing, etc) and more than half of your population.

Some one give this kid a lolypop.

ah yes, the Americans is the best and most important race in the world mindset. just go Kirito123 for your team name and your set to play

While I would agree that shutting out those inapplicable for the moment would be preferable in most business practices, that’s not what’s happening here. IMC isn’t that huge of a publisher to honestly ride off of that ideal; They’re like Neople with DnF/DFOg in that regard- Opening up their game themselves without the ease of a publisher to say what for. They have to get as much money as they can, so they can further improve the services and, you know, actually get paid?

The real bad end is now every region is gonna beg for a server now in the same way EU did. The OCE posts are already popping up, knowing no chill. ~.~

Typical American thinking they’re the only country in the world that matters.

This is iToS, not NAToS.

For those that defend this release…

I haven’t even mentioned the queue!

10 days of preparation where, according to they, gave them an estimate of how many players will be in the game based on how many paid for this.

Why exactly is there a 1000+ players queue after they knew how many players would be on the founders server?

This was supposed to be avoidable.

I can’t understand why would someone defend a queue this big.

200-300 players queue? Perfectly fine and understandable. They can’t be perfect.

1000+ queue? Why.

plenty of games have done it just fine. Making excuses for horrible business practice is why they can do something like this and get away with it. they know people like you will sit there and take it.

Peolple, the baby is crying.
Give him a lolypop.

Hahahahaha
Ok mister “i am not work for imc” tes you can.
They have onlly the paying players at this point sotl they know how much people there will be and where they from.
So how they cant?

I’d be on your side if this was NA TOS but its not.
its iTOS just because the first servers are in US East doesnt mean its NA TOS, Lets say they made the time good for NA people, then other people will complain about them not having an optimal server opening time. Get it? they cant please everyone, stop being a baby. You guys get good ping instead jesus. while some of us get 200-400. You cant have all the good stuff tyvm.

I agree about queue’s though, what happened to having servers ready to open lol.

While they are at work or en-route? Sure…

I give you that, the server predicament is something else on it’s own. Among comparable to BnS in terms of wait queues, which people didn’t have to pay for. So I can understand a little salt. However, I’d say give it a day for things to level out.

Say if this problem persists for a few days rather than a few hours, THEN it becomes a serious issue. Of course, sooner is better, but it becomes more drastic the more time these queues stretch out.

Should have kept the 3 month model.
