[RANT] In 7 days, I've encountered 4 bugs/problems

The real bugs are, the fake ones to make things worse no.

No. It’s not your fault. But if you keep on putting false claims and making problems worse people will get influenced by your views, making even more people complain about the bugs that doesn’t exist, instead of the ones that exists. Just look at the lot of people claiming that you could crash others with Hook64, the other guy went to ask the creator to confirm and there’s no crash “feature”.

One keeps telling something that doesn’t exist, a lot more follows. I just want to prevent this. Talk about concrete problems, is it that hard? If you put lies on the table the lies are your responsibility for stating them thus you should accept when someone question your about them if things are off.

That’s your own vision for what I’m telling you. Did you see I refuting any of the OP’s points? I agree with all bugs he posted, he’s right on the things he said, concrete problems, different than you that claim false ones.

One can compare what you do to getting a person that tells the world is getting warmer because the world made too much technology, thus the world should go back to all forest. When the problem is another thing. This is what you do, all you do by lying and making things worse is hide the real problems and make people follow your hating things that aren’t even true and can’t be fixed for the simple reason the problem isn’t there to being with.

@ophiuchu has a point.

These walls of text aren’t getting rid of any bugs.

In a game with hundreds of documented and acknowledged bugs, do you really think we need to make up more?

Lunar is just tired of people bad mouthing ToS. This is someone who is too emotionally involved in a game who’s owners could give 2 sh*ts about.

My only guess is this game is Lunar’s only way of being social at all so leave them alone lol.

Yes, it’s true. It is getting rid of false claims.

I don’t think you need. That’s why I don’t understand why you keep doing it. Why?

No, I’m not tired of people bad mouthing ToS.

I’m tired of people using false claims and scaling some problems into greater or worse problems. It gets tiring to read nonsense, especially if you know technical stuff and the person claim something without using their brain.

Just think of the claim that ToS is laggy because it uses Integrated Graphics when it uses the default one (which is initialized with DirectX API which is used in any other game). ToS does have its problems and is CPU intensive but this doesn’t mean the FPS issues the game have is because of graphic intensive operations nor means that the operations that causes the bottleneck can be moved into GPU code.

They’re obviously used as exaggerations, to make things sound more serious than they are. To make them seem worse than they are. To get more laughs with those bashing the game etc.
Some people here like to do that.

It’s not that what they say are entirely false but it’s the little things they say that makes it not entirely true as well.

For example:

“Every patch note there is a new cash shop update”

This works as a good example since it’s simply not a factual statement. But it is also true that they do release cash updates quite often. (Even when minor.)

To someone less knowing that could give a really bad impression of the game because the “issue” was exaggerated. Why do this then?

It simply wouldn’t cause any reaction if you used a factual statement saying that gacha is released once a month for 2 weeks and we may or may not get 2 hair styles and/or a pair of c3 costumes per month as well. Sometimes throw in a hair dye or an eye color.

Moot point because it still performs like garbage and crashes. Glad you fight so hard to make such points. It could be running on magical pixie dust for all an end user cares about when it still runs like crap

This is what you are baby raging over read it. Where do I say that is causing the error. You are so stupid it is unbelievable trying to make a point over something I did not even say twisting it into a moot point. The day this game uses more than 20% of my GPU and runs 120fps+ call me instead of debating moot points. Then I can reinstall again just to crash instantly so you can tell me its not a vga error when nobody cares because it crashes.

Real sound logic here. But I am exaggerating this problem. Let me write an essay about it to persaude the non believers then spam the forums.

Then you should say that it have performance problems. It’s fine, don’t say nonsense if you don’t want someone telling that you said nonsense.

I didn’t say you claimed that it causes the error. I said that you claimed that TOS doesn’t uses GPU, here:

TOS does uses your GPU card power, but if you have more power than it needs you reduce the load on the card. TOS isn’t a graphic intensive game. In fact, graphics intensives games put more load on my CPU than TOS, some of them uses the CPU even more than TOS.

The bottleneck isn’t because graphical operations, which you keep trying and failing to use as argument.

Do you ask the support to remove the virus of your computer when you forget to turn on Num Lock too? Seems like it.

So what about that good period of time from early access to launch all they did was change the loading screens until finally swapping over to some janky delayed kTOS update schedule? I am pretty sure it was about 6 months until later in the Fall they started releasing some content with a gap until January for Miko which jTOS had first so everyone complained.

There is some legimacy to those statements depending on the period hence those jokes.

Yep, its all going to be ok now. The hoglan’s visual icon in the vendor list will now be displayed properly, god knows we have all been screaming for this fix for 6 months, am I right…

Where do they find these random fkng minor visual glitches that no-one has ever even heard of, they are such trolls when it comes to bug fixes.

So one troll says that devs should fix bugs without user reporting or seeing.

The other troll complains about devs fixing bugs no one reported.

IMC can’t make everyone happy, you know?

Isn’t the end result is the same:

If you complain about being laggy you need to be specific, at which FPS rate is it running for you? Optmization turned on/off?

It has its problems but for me it runs at 40-60+ FPS even in dungeons. And yours?

As long you complain about a concrete thing instead of making things up, everything is fine.

You don’t need a GTX 1080 TITAN to run TOS at a good FPS. You do need a good GPU and a good CPU.

EDIT: Corrected a typo in this sentence. ^

I recommend looking at the Recommended Reqs at the steam page and assuming some higher values for each of the fields. If you’re able to test which pieces TOS ran well on a determined range you could fill a suggestion to adapt the requeriments to the reality.

By far the bottleneck won’t be the GPU since TOS isn’t graphic intensive.

You kind of miss the point of IMC working on optimizations and last patch (vc++2015 runtimes) increasing performance by quite a good margin. Are you playing the game?

Do not push the job of the engineer or the technician onto the end user, he’s got all of the right of saying “it is slow” if the whole thing is slow, it is up to them to figure out what’s going on.

At most you may ask for the computer specs, we cannot fix these issues rabit.

I agree. But that’s the kind of answers I’ll ask if someone is answering only to troll around:

If he’s not a player anymore but is able to talk about game issues that have been worked and aren’t the same from the date he left, he should be as well able to talk how to fix the issues without being an engineer.

Plus:
I didn’t ask no one to “push” job of the engineer onto the end user.

I asked:

  1. What FPS range does the game run on your hardware?
  2. Is Optimization (Beta) turned on or off?

Yes I understand. But why are you talking to me this way? I didn’t even ask you about that.

What’s your CPU?

To be honest you can not give that answer and expect to hold any water, this is not a game that ask for high specs, and in the specs it ask for it doesn’t run quite well.

If it asked for a 1080 TI and a I7 7700 then I would believe your stance, but, this game has low spec requirements and it runs badly in a very wide range of hardware.

Even then just purchasing high end hardware for this does not guarantee that it will work flawlessly.
