Hi there, don’t worry this is not another stupid doom post, a quit post or anything, might have some mistakes since i’m not a native speaker but let’s do this.
A few informations about me before i start
I’m a very desorganized person, so this post will probably be messy, sorry about that.
I love Tree of Savior, i really do. I have played A LOT of mmo’s in my life and ToS has been one of the 3 that kept my attention. I want this game to live long and improve, that’s why i’m writing this.
I find both White Knights and “Hue” Knights pretty stupid, people should stop answering or interacting with them, there’s no point doing so.
I’m a forum lurker, i’m here a lot but barely ever post. Mostly keeping an eye on the KToS general thread (thank you guys for all these info and almost non polluted thread !).
I’m just a random player, i don’t claim to know better than anyone else, i have basic knowledge about technical stuff. This is just my feedback, what i feel about the state of the game, not absolute truth, not orders for IMC.
I’m playing this game since the first CBT, was in the CBT2 and now I play with a group of friends, so i got the solo and team experience of the game, i tested a lot of stuff
Now let’s get to the fun part

The game has been very laggy since the Rank 8’s release, some day it’s almost unplayable (like 2 seconds freeze, and that means death on some areas). Also lots of crashes, especially in the event dungeon recently.

There has been improvements on the FPS matter since the release, thank you IMC for that, but it’s not over yet, i mean just go in game, open your adventure journal, look at your game freezing for a solid 2 seconds, come on … I hope you’re working on some other fixes.

Gacha, mixed feelings. I like the idea of getting a random cosmetic in a non P2W TP lottery, I mean i won’t do it personally cos i’m broke but it’s cool.
But the idea of removing every costumes from the TP shop and putting them in this medal shop, that’s stupid imo.
Now you can’t buy that sweet costume you wanted anymore, you’re forced into a lottery and that’s not good at all.
Just let costumes in the TP shop so people can buy them when they want, and get some exclusive hats in the Gacha every once in a while.
Also, the silver trading in the Medal shop has to go. -
Skill description, I don’t mind data mining or experiencing stuff like Lethargy + Effigy or Barrage+Sneak Hit. Those are cool, but Cartar Stroke’s description for example is so bad, it’s not telling you much about the skill. And that goes for a lot of skills (like Cata’s skill modifier too). Hope this will be worked on someday, not urgent but still important

Talking about skills, let’s talk about Featherfoot for a moment, why is this class so limited. Almost melee range mage, when you’re taking risks to use your spell as a mage, you should be rewarded for it but right now it doesn’t feel like that at all.
Blood Sucking and Blood Bath, they don’t work on 2 types of monsters, why ?
Fletcher and Highlander can make everything bleed, why would Featherfoot be weaker ?
Doesn’t work on players too, the core theme of the class (melee life stealing blood mage), can’t be used at all in PvP.
It’s not even like Featherfoot is dealing an obscene amount of damage (except Blood Curse) it’s an almost no AoE Class, and the damage is really sub par compared to other r7/r7c2.
Why is your damage on Kundela Slash halved on Lethargy’d target ?
You spend your whole mage journey learning that Lethargy empowers a lot of spells. Then suddenly it halves your damage on this R8 spell …
Just get rid of the limitations on Blood Sucking and Blood Bath, and allow them to work on players, it doesn’t make any sense atm. -
Let’s talk about Templar now. Could have been a good idea, the Guild leading class. Poor execution in fact. There’s almost nothing useful in an guild battle on this class, almost noone is actually playing it, they just level up to Templar, create their guilds and reroll. There’s no point playing Templar, it doesn’t do anything. Would be a really cool class with some guild leading skills, and not farming simulator skills.

Balance, I don’t care that much about pvp being unbalanced, i don’t know any asymmetrical game that is balanced anyway.
I want to talk about Stats here, is there any plan to make STR and INT great again ? Almost placebo stat right now, they were (kinda) fine before transcend/R8 came up, but right now ? What’s the point of 500 STR when your skill deals 8000 damage and your weapon has 6000 damage ? That’s a 3% increase for so much points invested.
We really need some work on stats and scaling. -
And lastly, I hope you’re cooking us some nice PvE Content. This game lacks end game PvE, it’s okay, the game’s still pretty young. Just don’t forget to give us some epic dungeons, challenges and stuff to grind for ! And do NOT just stack floors in the Earth Tower.
I think that’s about it, I know there is not that much presence from the staff here in the forums, but i hope you can prove me wrong and read this !
