Actually, if you’ve watched the Mr. Vampire film series from Hongkong, you know that Taoists are actively using Jangshi by putting them under control with a talisman and then using a hand bell to control them.
As one of the datamined and planned skills uses a talisman to restrict an enemy, it would be no surprise to see another skill/attribute in the future that turns killed monsters/specific monsters restricted that way into Jangshi.
I just hope mergen 2 to have decent skills and attributes. The actuals feels underwhelming

I doubt that. Most likely Taoist C2/Inquisitor C2 will be able to outdamage him xD
It seems you underestimate circling+ mergen skills quite a lot. Well anyways all this is all only speculation. Only time will reveal whats better. 
Would be cool if they add new classes from different culture in different country.
