For normal dungeon it’s not a problem. I actually dislike it that dungeon queue try to put you together with people close to your level. Why if I’m level 180 I can’t join the level 50 dungeon to help some level 50-60 players out?

For missions it’s a problem, but I think the level limit isn’t the problem. If you lower the level limit even further you’d just have to wait forever for a run to even start at all.

Instead, a better solution should be found. A simple idea would be to make the monster level ā€œLower level player + 5ā€ rather than highest level player. Then the only one that might get less XP is the highest level player, but he has it pretty easy in exchange too, so it’s fair.

A more complex solution would be to just get rid of any level limit in the first place and then auto-scale the character strength so it’s equal for everyone, regardless of level.

Doesn’t get any better than that.

10/10 would run out of time

That’s true, that’s why I don’t expect them to change it. But it would be nice.

Just got online, queued for Mission. Got 2 shotted because boss names were flashing red. So sad. Back to 90Rush

total crap, utterly stupid.

so you wanted to party a lvl 100 to a lvl 150, and the dungeon difficulty would be 125?

it was before 10levels gap that are allowed. however, due to long time queuing. it was extended up to 15. that is for the ā€˜convenience’ of most players.

i can strongly feel that the OP was a victim of ā€˜One-Punch’ Golem that he complains about the merce level gaps. too bad…

After looking at this thread I feel like I’m the only one who enjoys being put in a high level mission. The extra challenge is lots of fun. Going through a mission where we just melt the boss and move on is boring, it makes the never ending Silaulialdbekshe runs even more competitive. Throw me in a group where I might actually die and need to know how bosses behave? Yes please!

i guess you do not play melee :joy:

Just jump/slash away from where the boss is attacking… Unless you’re talking about the bear comboing you into a wall… That’s some straight bs.

Boring indeed.

i once had a party like this at 255, 4secs golem gone. i was like . . . .

and that is what IMC should fix, the exp penalty…

Yeah… The exp isn’t great… But it’s fun that way, and video games should be fun.

You better read my post again. I said character strength is scaled, not monster strength.

So for example monsters are always level 100, if a level 100 and a 150 join, then the level 100 stays as he is, but the level 150 one gets a damage penalty, so he is on par with the level 100 player.

just to remind you…higher/lower than 21 levels wont get any exp… nothing at all…

Btw, character strength? how can you do that? even a lvl 125 fletch can kill 280 swordsman class.

again. there is no way that’s gonna happen…

No, I think OP still considers the max 15-level gap.

What he’s implying is that at least make the monsters’ level be the average of the party members’ level, or that of the highest and lowest level in the party.

Kinda removes the challenge though, but with current mechanics some builds are finding it too difficult to handle, sort of making them a handicap to the party.

Obviously the XP penalty has to be removed for that system.

Well first of all, there is a system that makes you deal 10% more damage per level above the target at the moment. Just exchange that with less damage per level.
