Questions about Schwarzer Reiter

Quick Questions:

  1. Which one influences the damage of SR’s skills: the main weapon or the pistol? (I suppose this answer could be applied to Cannonier too)
  2. why is Manamana so expensive? It has the poorest Physical Attack of all pistols…
  3. If you use a AA while Retreat Shot is active will it be canceled?
  4. Can I rely solely on “Gun: Accuracy” 5% bonus accuracy per level or I’ll miss if I don’t put some DEX?
  5. How an AOE/Burst damage build looks like when it comes to skill distribution?

Idk… I dislike Limacon very much. It just looks poorly designed and if I ever wanted to reposition myself I would probably use Caracole instead…

  1. I guess for the same reason everybody sports the Arde Dagger. The properties on it buff your damage you do with your crossbow. Most of the time people are either using QS3 or R3 skills as SR anyway. But if the new SR3 skills are OP then maybe it’s worth using pistol with high damage?? I’m QS3 archer and that’s how it is with me. I barely use SR skill to be honest. I just took it for the costume and being able to mount while using Running Shot. From the looks of it I made the right choice and will be going SR3.
  1. SR skill dmg is up to your physic ATK that mean… main weapon + STR + PropertyATK

  2. Manamana is best gun on this patch because Lightning Property Atk really high… that will included to your autoattack & Skill, if monster weak to lightning dmg of manamana will multiply

3.you cant use AA while RetreatShot

4.not sure about no Dex build

Wrong SR skills scales on pistol.

Cause of it’s stats…

You can pretty much go full STR and not miss at all in PVE as long as you update your gloves. And even if you rock 2 sissel bracelets, the Gun accuracy attribute is sufficient enough to not miss on a full STR build.

10 Retreat Shot 10 Concentrated Fire. The rest is subject to change depending on how limacon changes in KTOS’s next patch and how caracole truly scales with R3.

So, if SR skills scales on pistols like you said and I’ll be a AOE/Burst type of Schwarzer Reiter (which means Ranger 3 instead of QS3) should I still be using Manamana?

I’ve seen some videos and the Lightning Attack+278 is good and all but I don’t think I’ll be using alot of AA agains bosses when I could simply spam skills and contribute much more…

Am I wrong? Aside from heavy auto attackers, Manamana just doesn’t feel as good as a Handgun for example.

I was actually expecting to use them a lot.
I mean, Wild Shot + Concentrated Fire + Multishot just looks amazing agains a single target boss. And I think I would never be in a cooldown using this sequence.

But then again… I’m a noob, so I could be wrong. XD

You don’t have to be auto attacking to take advantage of the lightning damage. It’ll still apply to skills except not getting the crit modifier but will still get any T modifiers and attribute enhancement.

Again if the “stats” does not justify for you then feel free to choose a cheaper/different alternative like the handgun for +1 SR skills. IMO if you enhance manamana high enough it’ll outclass the other weapons until lolopanther pistol.

i still dont get it. don’t skills have multipliers? manamana is definitely better for auto attacks auto attacks only deal (your attack stat + weapon attack stat + elemental damage). but arent these multiplied by a certain factor when using skills?

something like (weapon attack stat)*skill multiplier + elemental attack?

It’s not about auto attack vs skills. It’s more like what your attack uses. For example your auto attack will use your crossbow therefore the damage is only affected by your crossbow damage + attributes on your items including your offhand which is manamana in this case. If your skill uses the crossbow then it’s the same thing ie all your non SR skills are like this. The only time when your skill is based on your raw damage on your manamana pistol is when you’re using SR skills. At least this is my understanding.

btw i was talking about offhand normal attack. so it’s most probably str + off hand attack + elemental damage. forget about mainhand attack and non-SR skills. my question stands, wouldn’t a handgun with higher attack stat be better if skills have multipliers?

e.g. consider these two equations
(pistol attack stat)*multiplier + elemental damage = actual damage
pistol attack stat + elemental damage = actual damage

if skills have multipliers like the first equation, pistols with higher attack stats (e.g. handgun) will most likely be better than manamana since manamana only adds flat elemental damage.

in other words, it’s a question of whether or not skills have multipliers. or do they merely add flat numbers to your normal attacks?

Well if you look at the damage formula you can see elemental damage gets multiplied with the skill multiplier and attributes and just not the 50% from critting

(((((Skill Attack + Effective Attack) + (random(0% … 100%) * Magic Amplification)) * (100% + T0)) - ((Effective Defense * (100% + Level Penalty)) + Elemental Resistance)) * (100% + (0 or 50% if crit)) + (0 or Critical Attack) + Extra Elemental Attack + Enemy Specific Damage) * (100% + T1) * (100% + T2) * (100% + T3) * (100% + Enhance) + Bonus Damage

T1 being the skill % - ex. snipe 400%
Enhance being the attribute level

Ok, let me get it straight.

There are 2 different things:

[Element] property ADDITIONAL attack, which adds another “tick” and basicaly is good if you’re an auto attacker (Like Cafrisun Set)
and
[Element] property attack, which adds a flat damage to AA and works on skills too (which is why manamana is good?)

Is that right?
Am I starting to understand? D:

Why manamana? Crit rate 35, aoe attack +1 and mov speed +1. You can trade all of those effects for little more damage but i dont recomend you

oh good. thank you. i always thought elemental damage only adds flat damage to the final damage output.

Yeah that’s the gist of it.
