Questions about Bullet Marker

I haven’t played in a long while, and still have an ex-SR from the first(? - don’t know if there were other ones) reset event that’s still an archer1. With the free anniversary costume and all that I decided to try going back to the game again by making this archer into a bullet marker, but I wasn’t able to find a lot of recent info besides some nerf to falconers and I don’t really know much about anything on the builds I found besides QS which I used on my ex-SR, so I’d like to ask about these 2 builds that caught my attention.

Which one is more common these days? Was the falconer nerf enough to make BM2 more attractive? For stats allocation should I still go 50~80 STR for inventory, 50~80 VIT to not get 1 shot and all else into DEX? Does SP use vary much between these two builds? And for the final question, is the skill allocation on those builds any good? Seems fine from where I look, but then again, I don’t know anything about falconer, BM nor Appraiser.

First build you posted, Falc3/BM is the most popular archer build right now. They just took away the linking circling expand attribute and replaced it with +3 aoe ratio, but they did buff everything else in falcs skill kit which makes it again, one of the best archer classes for pve. If you are returning from the first reset event, then i definitely suggest going the first build because of its group play abilities and plays similar to SR minus the mount (a lot of auto attacking). Keep in mind you have to invest in both a good pistol (BM skills) and xbow (Falc skills).

Falconer 3 got its Circling and attribute changed which is the “nerf” you’re talking about, but Aiming is still babe, and the other skills got buffed. Falconer 3 is pretty strong now, so your first build would work really well and is really popular.
But it requires you to upgrade two weapons, and it’s not really a “BM focus” build, if it’s what you were after.

The second build is also rather common (some switch Archer 2 or Appraiser for Rogue 2) and works well. The main differences are that you focus more on your BM skills while the other classes bring you buffs and you only have to upgrade your pistol.

First of all, thanks for taking your time to answer. :haha:

It’s less of a “BM focus” and more of a “dual pistol focus” as I really enjoyed chain action pistols in RO. But if the nerf wasn’t even that much of a nerf, I guess I’m sticking with Falconer. At least from looking at the few videos I found it seems like the most fun one out of the two, with less downtime between aoes thanks to not being fully reliant on BM skills for that.

But still, I’ve gotta ask a few more things: Even with double gun stance active the falcon still uses xbow attack? And is the full dex mentioned on tosbase’s build link really full-full dex, or should I still put a little bit into str for carrying stuff and con for survivability (I have no idea how much of it can be ignored with the current equipment available in-game)?

Yes. Hawk still considers your main hand weapon.

Weight is now fixed at around 8k+ that’s only affected by collection items and quests. Stats don’t mean anything for weight anymore. As for putting str and con for patk and survivability, it’s up to your ping I guess. Usually people with low ping go full dex since the delay between attacks is shorter, hence allowing them to take advantage of all the dex they have. There is also the new identified system we had recently that allows you to roll random stats, so I guess you can take your con/str from that as well. (some light reading here and here)
