Questions about AoE Archers

Guys, I’m actually pretty low level(68 Archer>Archer>Sapper), looking forward for Sapper 2 or maybe 3.

But i’m really confused about what should i get on stats, i’ve read in a topic that traps CAN’T crit, but mine is critting pretty well, and my build is being focused in DEX:
85 DEX
30 STR
20 SPR
10 CON

What should i do? think if i start to build str, i’ll lose crit rate, precision and evasion late game, considering that traps actually crits, i don’t know if i stick with dex based build…

Second question regards my circle build, I don’t know if i go Sapper 3 or change for something else that gives good AoE and solo play(I’m building that class to farm and then i’ll think about another one to be my main)
Any advices?

Which traps are critting?
sapper is only worth going for C2, if you are looking for pve, then get wugushi c1-c2
Archer C2>Sapper C2>Wugushi C2>Wugushi C3 or any of rank 7 class
edit: actually nvm, wugushi’s poison can’t crit, so you might wanna get archer c3>falconer
Circling works really nice with sapper’s skills, and make multishot aoe too, and also you have crit rate from swift step’s attribute

Punji and Stockade are actually criting pretty well, don’t know about broom trap crits cause i’m still C3, just about to try it tomorrow i guess…
Should i stop spending on dex at all? how should i work with my stats from here?

You said about Multi Shot, but i haven’t spent any points on it, i’ve got Full Draw lvl 5, Obllique Shot lvl 10, Heavy Shot lvl 1, Swift Step lvl 5 and Kneeling Shot lvl 5.
Is it ok or i need to reset it later?

Edit: So you’re advising me to go Archer C2 > Sapper C3 > Falconeer?

Sapper C2 only
sapper C3 is not worth
you need to test out if broom trap and collar bomb are critting
if they are, you could go for rogue C1-C2/Archer C3
if not, go for wugushi like i said

What about stats?

If criting, i keep on dex? and go archer c3 > sapper c2 > rogue c2?
if not, i start to invest on str and go archer c2 > sapper c2 > wugushi c2 > falconeer?

aw, i’m just concerned about going archer c3, feels like isnt worth

Archer C2>Sapper C2>Rogue C1>Falconer C1/Rogue C2/SR C1>Rogue C3 /Falconer C2 or SR C2 or any of rank 7 class
archer c2>sapper c2> wugushi c2>any of rank 7 class
you could pick Scout too but it’s a pvp class(scout c3 is pve though)
But you might wanna get wugushi or even fletcher(but with fletcher you may only use broom trap and spam fletcher’s skills) since you are looking for aoe archer
rogue is a single target damage class

What about stats? this is the thing that confuses me the most
if traps really crit, i keep on the dex focus, if not, i start to focus on str?

3:1 dex str
or 4:1 dex str
i checked out and broom trap can crit too
what do you mean attribute confusion?
but if you are going for rogue you won’t need so much dex because sneak hit gives you 70% crit rate at lvl5 when attacking from behind the enemy

so i’m going 4:1 dex/str, but what about SPR and CON?

Thing can’t cri you say may refer to poison dot from wugushi.

It probably works like swift shot where it just increases your current crit by a percent. I’d go 3:2 dex str, or even 4:1 dex str.

You won’t need SPR, just buy pots
you will need CON later in the game
20- 40 points in CON and you will be fine

Because i was not thinking about Wugushi before, i don’t really know about his skills, so, what should i max at wugushi C1 and C2?

Dude, sorry for reopening this topic, but i feel like i don’t want to build a wugushi after sapper 2, i want my char mostly AoE based but it doens’t need to be fully, instead i was trying to think about mixing falconeer, like

Archer C2 > Sapper C2 > ? > Falconeer > ? (Maybe Canon)

What do you sugest?

then go Archer C3 and put points into Multi Shot (since you wrote above that you didnt lvl it, but its one of the best scaling skills) and twin arrows. Cant really think of any other class that would benefit you more at that point for Rank 5 if you want that Falconeer at rank 6.

You could do archer C3, Sapper C3 or Rogue C1
Archer C1 - Twin Arrows, it has a 7 sec cooldown with 4 charges, really useful when you don’t have your traps up
multishot - one of the best single target damage skill
swift rate - crit rate, evasion
Sapper C3 - Broom trap 10/10, stack stockades 15/15
and spike shooter 5/5(it has a long cooldown, but it’s great against bosses)
Rogue C1 - Sneak Hit - insane crit rate when attacking from behind the enemy(idk how it works with traps)
Capture - You can steal ally/enemy traps, you can even steal Broom Trap so you can double Broom trap
Vendetta/Feint - your choice, i don’t think feint has synergy with any of sapper’s skills, so you might wanna go vendetta to finish mobs for the bonus STR

If i wan’t to do it, i gotta reset my archer skills first, but i’ll think about going wugushi or follow up one of those ways u guys pointed.
The downside is that i’ve got shitty archer skills like onlique lvl 10, full draw lvl 5, swift i left lvl 9, kneeling lvl 5 and heavy lvl 1…i really need to reset this thing.

But guys, if i go wugushi, it will scale from dex aswell as sapper?

poison can’t crit
but iirc you can use cards on poison so it scales off dex
