Question about Steady Aim and Archer SP issues?

I have tried searching on the forums and no one has a answer for this particular question.

Does Steady Aim actually reduce SP costs of skills?

According to the buff tool tip it says “Reduced SP usage, and increases damage when attacking”.

If it doesn’t reduce SP what are you guys doing about SP usage and how to maintain SP. I feel like it doesn’t work and that SP usage is out of this world for Ranger.

SP Potions.
…20 char

your spamming oblique shot right?
keep it al lvl 1 and you should be able to sustain it for a fair amount of time with just the lowest tier sp pots, the higher tier sp pots are a very inefficient both for what they give and the amount you spend,

but you will need to use them later for more sp intensive skills if alch pots are not available, which is a bummer since becoming an alchemist to sell stuff is very unattractive right now, so youll probably have to wait for alchs to show up and sell higher tier and more efficient pots from the market way down the line
you should also gear for sp and sp regeneration, you can get tons from hair accessories and they can come cheap.

as for steady aim reducing sp costs you may have missread the tooltip, anyway heres the skill page on tosbase

So I’m currently 146 A1 > R3 > F1. Oblique shot spamming would be useful in which situation?

As for the Steady Aim tool tip. I had read the tosbase sites information and that is why it confused me. No where does it say it reduces SP usage, but when you use Steady Aim the buff reads “Reduced SP usage, and increases damage when attacking”.

in every situation, replace your basic attack with it, lvl 1 costs 8 mana and the cheapest potion will regen more than enough for it. you should also get around 20-30% attribute damage on it, since that will boost the total damage of the skill, the forumla goes like this:
(base + phys damage) + X% attribute

are you spamming bodkin / barbed and crossfire or something lol? the costs for those skills at lvl 1 is ridiculous. or your using critical shot, which is only good for single target.

to sustain sp costs above 20+ youll need lvl 10 alch pots, 15 sp and under can be sustained with higher tier npc pots, but they are huge wastes of silver and are inefficient, anyway.
that tooltip of steady aim is left over and not translated properly.

the only way your gonna sustain your sp costs is by getting more spr, buying better pots or having a diev friend to reduce your sp costs at all times,

realistically the max spr an archer should go for imo is 40. fletcher skills get immensely hard to upkeep at max levels, even full spr builds struggle with 80+ mana costs per cast. most people leave the 0 CD skills lower leveled so it doesnt eat through sp.
