Question about stat reset potion

Does it allow you to choose different classes as well?

seriously?

of course not.

So, if a new update comes which makes my class obsolete, I have no other option but to re-roll a new character?
Epic game desing then.

You just have to… play the game.

What kind of twisted logic is that?
If a sudden update makes my current circle choices completely obsolete, this will leave me with 2 choices:

  • You just have to… play the game. cough
  • Reroll.

Do you think it’s a good game design, being unable to change circles at all, when we aren’t sure of what future updates will change?

I don’t plan to follow the meta and just have fun playing. So unless the path I’ve taken leaves me unable to do ANything it’s bad yes. But if you can still play it’s still valid.

Edit: And just like real life, we never know what might happen. Everything comes with a risk of change.
Also, iirc I think I heard somewhere that the XP from all the characters you have effects the household (or whatever it’s called) in some way. So more characters might bring something with it.

I see, must be really nice to live such an easygoing lifestyle.

You might try it sometime, might feel good. Who knows. -hehe-

I know that some ppl find the Meta to be the most fun about a game. But nothing is perfect. I do however believe that somewhere down the road something will be added to allow people to change the circles somehow.

is this your very first time playing an mmorpg?

That’s like when u play warcraft and the nerf Warlocks so u want a lvl 100 mage instead of a lock… It doesn’t work like that unfortunately
You can reset all you classes skills with a skill potion or the stats with a stats potion.

this ^^ just dont make dumb builds that u will be fine, there are tons of combinations to play with (just avoid the bad ones)

Altho… You can buy those character boosts for 50 or what it is. Loophole \o/

What boosts? I know about EXP tomes but i don’t see anything here: http://www.tosbase.com/database/cash-shop/

I was talking about those WoW boosts, since you used WoW as an example.
Sry if I confused you.

Another brainless remark.
Builds that are “good” now, might very well become “middle-trash-tier” after we get rank 8-10 classes.

This is how every MMO has worked. If your class gets buffed or nerfed, that is the game. You don’t get a free remake of your entire character just because the games balance got changed.

Except for the fact that ToS isn’t even 50% finished. Not to mention the class complexity which makes it stand out among other MMORPG.

Plenty of MMOs have had new classes added at a later time. But you never got the chance to remake your character because of this.

In this game, more classes will not make your current choices ‘obsolete’, since those classes will be in Ranks beyond your current max rank. You can still choose 1 of the 2 or 3 Rank 8+ classes that work with what you’ve picked so far. What you meant to say was:

So, if a new update comes which has classes that work with prior Rank choices that I didn’t choose, I have no other option but to re-roll a new character?[/quote]

It’s like buying a Blue shirt, Blue hoodie, and Blue shoes. Then while you’re leaving the store, they put up a Green shirt that you like. You can still go back in there and buy it, but it won’t match with the rest of your outfit. But that doesn’t make the outfit that you DID buy, bad to wear.

Seems legit. Having your fully equipped C7-8 character wrecked by a few balancing changes, im sure nobody will mind because literally everyone is a basement dwelling no life troll clone with nothing but freetime on their hands 24/7 while mom pays the bills.
Oh wait…
