Quarrel Shooter - the big loser of the new system?

Hey there,

now that infos about the system changes are out Im curious if QS is the big loser of the mechanics again.

Here is the problem:

A major part of the dps far came from the transcendence upgrades of the weapon (Didel Shooter). Now that this bonus of 550% completely breaks apart to 200% it significantly affects the output of each hit. With a +10 Didel you got around 460 atk and multiplied by 550% it is around 2500.
Now with the cut of to 200% its not even cose to 1k.

And here comes the 2nd problem:

While Str seems to give way more physical attack, that possibly could compare the lack of atk a bit, dex will give attack speed. Which makes it super hard to decide what to pick and if 1 stat will actualy be enough.

Quarrel barely can compete with doppel, pd2 and whatever meta is - and I dont even want to mention the massive unability to work with multiple targets…

Are there any further infos from kToS already how much each stat approximately gives?

Patch arrives on KTEST soon.

I’ll quote something here:

[details=Quote]3. Item Stats & Enhancement/Transcendence System

Changing the skill calculation formula to a percentage-based one means we have to change item values as well. With the [(stat + item) x skill factor] attack formula as the foundation, equipment item attack/defense values will also be matched to the new balance changes. The scale of each value gets readjusted according to level and grade, growing to more than twice that of the current values, and particularly reducing the wide attack gap between one- and two-handed weapons. Besides this, we’re also introducing two new level 315 rapiers (rare, unique), but any changes regarding items will be announced via the patch notes when they’re ready to be implemented.[/details]

We can only wait and see.

new meta will be QS of dex. runing shot with ASPD will be awesome like the machine gun build but with more critical hits

Thanks for mentioning this. But according to the stats of Didel it will be painful since Didel is only a lvl 220 weapon and I fear it wont profit even close to what the 315 weapons will get.

but with more critical hits
[/quote]crit rate increase via dex gets removed

what this thread doing about is 摸索.
it is a waste of time and energy to discuss/judge something based on prediction rather than real data. Even they stated:
These updates are going to be applied to our kTOS test server in April of 2017, and will likely arrive in iTOS in the early summer of 2017. We’ll make sure to announce any further details or modifications as they come up.
Just be patience, wait from that further details or modifications as they come up.

It was not the intention to make a final judge before we know in detail what will change. I just stated a couple of relations that tend to appear as a downgrade for a class that already is low/medium tier damage wise.
If someone points at it people rather tend to observe it.

Also, Id like to mention that the attack frequency again may be not as high as on koren servers due to ping issues (thats what ppl say but I feel like I have a way lower frequency as I see in korean yt videos - despite very stable 16~17ms).

The same could be said with other classes though?
And also, I think it’s a mistake to compare AA master and single target with multi hits and AoE like doppel or previously absurd damage from PD’s DoT
incinerate + BDS

-How much doppel will achieve will their previously with so many multi hit skills crit and without crit compared new system now?
-what about those healers with SPR? will they become more garbage or useless?

there are so much question from me too. But eh… until details out then I’ll keep finger crossed

TL;DR
Wait until more info then we can theorycrafting

… thats the point they want stats to matter and be mixed, and not be the current meta of herp derp all points in x stat for x class.

This would start with removing Ausrine out of the game. Herpaderpa-gameplay will always be possible with infinite invincebility. Not to mention that most physic class could tend to use full str again unless that really need block penetration =/

theres a number of skills that need to be changed but there is no point in speculating right now, as changes to skills have been announced. we have to wait and see what happens with the upcoming changes. And my point about stats still stands.

Marvel/Marble Grand Cross ‘might’ save the day, if/when it gets implemented, that is.

Reading this more it seems like they don’t remove crit rate from bonus stats.

I’m probably reading this wrong, but maybe they decided to convert Dex’s crits to flat crit atk instead of rate which is removed and left that gear-reliant?

A lot of the stat changes on what I’m reading seems like they turned to flat atk and recov. Except of the defensive features on each stat.

This is how i interpret it. Crit Rate will be from gear / gems / skills rather than stats.

I can see that. There’s a lot mobile rpgs and jrpgs that use gearing and gemming systems customize similar to that. And since they plan to make a mobile version, I wouldn’t be surprised if they want to make something similar with gems, cards, and gear.

what aboult wugushi? now that str will be better. maybe wugushi full str can finaly shine in late game

If they’re adding weapons to assist classes like fencer, I don’t see why a rework of GC and DGC isn’t possible. Or perhaps a better weapon that finally stops pigeon-holing the class since level 40.

Bigger concern for me anyway, is if the damage is not dependent on skill level much, there would be no incentive for anyone to put more than 1 point in everything and gear which increases skill level would be worthless–obviously they’re going to avoid this.

What this might do, however, is make dex mandatory for a QS given the sort of mysterious and ominous addition of “normal attack speed (some skills).” Seems like a primo target for a skill like running shot.

edit: to your stats question, I get the impression that the changes are to discourage the silly “all in” builds that people have been doing and subsequently complaining that certain areas of content were just impossible for them. Str will scale well, making it a viable option for non-wugu QS3s, and should give points leftover to prevent you from running around max level content with 9k HP. Maybe.

Mobs will have less HP

Everyone may get extra aspd now

Auto Attack classes look way stronger now.

Corsair= Con gives STAM, offhand weapons easier to over refine.
Dagger Wizard= Now maces give both stats for damage.
Quarrel= Attack Speed, OverRefines give more atk

did you knew fencer3 ?

This class was only depended on Critical Rate. No Cri = No Damage.

Now at new patched , swordie can’t effort much from dex now.

Weapon base damages will be increased by more than double their values. So the atk value on a tans 10 weapon wont change.

lets assume new weapon atk values are x2.25 more than current
with weapon of 500 atk
old system
500+%550 = 500+2750 = 3250
new system
1125+%200 = 1125+2250 = 3375

Not that big of a difference. It can even be considered a buff.
