So, I’ve read a fair amount of stuff on archer classes today and watched ALOT of videos on the classes too. I’m fairly interested in QS atm because I see alot of videos of solo players (which I will be) dropping some deployable Pavise’s around them and being able to kite monster’s into attacking the pavise. This seems really good for boss fights or harder area’s.
Another thing i’ve noticed is the major lack of AoE people are using in videos. As a solo player I kind of want some AoE to grind and can’t figure out why people aren’t doing what i think to be obvious…Drop 2 Pavise, get enemies to come to you with kiting or attacking, Drop Caltrops in between your pavise, Tear down Both Pavise. Wouldn’t that be alot of AoE dmg? Am i missing something?
I’m also hearing that QS benefit from STR more than DEX (like a 3:1 ratio) with the only other archer classes that benefit from STR to be Sapper, Wugushi and Cannoneer. Yet I see alot of builds going Arch > QS C3 > Arch C2 > Scout > Musket. So this build is for Machine gun auto attacks but idk why people take Scout over Fletcher for spam AoE or Falcon for increased AoE Circling skill which seems good solo or Party. Also do you build STR or DEX for machine gun build?

Cannoneer is up in the air (may switch to musket) and the build may be terrible because i’ve never played. Idk what benefit leveling up the Pavise gives really or how viable alot of the skills are as you progress in levels so it’s kind of a semi educated shot in the dark. Any help would be appreciated.
Edit 1: The idea for the build I linked was basically Drop some Pavise, Drop a caltrops at my feet, Swift Step for the C2 Critical buff, Kneel, Unload like a beast on stuff. If things get close, cast hovering, let them run into my caltrops as I move to tear down both my pavise while my Falcon rains pain. If I get a big group of stuff I can Circling + cannoneer AoE Rape but idk if it’s worth taking cannoneer over Musket tbh but it’s so far away i’ll make the call later.
Edit 2: A quick video of a QS mobbing with Pavise and Caltrops. One of the only one I can find. I also asked a player who’s played archer alot about the AoE combo with caltrop and Shield tear down combo and he said it works at lower levels but won’t do enough to clear a mob later in the game. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5yBUERbBH_g
