I’ll try to help. First of all, Wugushi, like it has been said, does not profit from critical strikes at all. Some would even build a Full Str (Maybe a littel Con) build so it makes it the best use of poison possible (Str based). It is your decision, but I woul not pick it that way.
If you want to avoid Musketeer, may I ask which class do you favor as C7 (and MAYBE C6)?

In that case, there are a lot of options, like:
Archer C1 > Ranger C3 > Fletcher C2 > Cannoneer (For Ranger lovers. Lotta AoE)
Archer C2 > Ranger C2 > Fletcher C2 > Cannoneer (Mid-term)
Archer C1 > Ranger C3 > Fletcher C3 (Stronger than it looks. Like, absurdly stronger on Str 1:1 Dex too)
Archer C1 > Quarrel Shooter C3 > Archer C3 > Cannoneer (You’ll be like a war cannon. Fun build too)
And many others. Archers have a lot of options!
If someone can educate me on wagushi since please,WITHOUT CONSIDERING throw gu pot most of the circle one poisons only are affected by duration per skill level or the damage is negledgeable in comparison to the poison (Poison needle and wugong gu aside) So I was looking into doing circle 1 wagushi to have some poison DoT while my other stuff is on cooldown.
So if your looking for some good DoT is circle 1 wagu worth it?
The duration of the poison actually ends up doing a huge DPS difference. I would not consider getting Wugushi C1 as it crashes down after level 150~, in my opinion.
The poison would still hurt a little, yeah. Plus, you gotta have a Str-based build to make it work properly. As Wugushi, for example, full Str is advised (Or Str > Con)
Thank you much. =) I appreciate it greatly. Going SR2 ar the end of my build path and wanted something to fill in the rank 5 gap. Cant decide what class lol. Archer QS3 of course.

what are other str based archer types? I’m qs3 and wugu mostly str stats now but IDK what I should take on my rank 7 since musketeer and cannon both benefit more from dex builds, any suggestion for other str type archers that could benefit me?
You can actually go Cannon at your C7. It DOES benefit from Dex, yeah. But it also benefits from a Str (Damage based) build, in combination with Wugushi poison and skills. The damage will still be high, don’t worry. Plus, it matches some good Wugushi combos.
There are also people who get something like an Archer C3 or Sapper C2/3 out of it though. I would not go that way but it seems to work also.
class that I can think off that good on str based that not QS or wugushi are
archer3-although swift step work better with high dex, multishot work very well with multishot
sapper- most traps are multi hit stockade, collar bomb, broom trap, and maybe spike shooter(but currently people don’t usually go sap3)
rogue- some build can be use of high str give vendetta more bonus, have feint to compensate for lower hit rate.
So, maybe should go rogue on last 2 ranks? That work on archer 2 - QS3?
I agree with @Immemorabilis as well. Wugu poison duration is absolutely huge when it comes to DPS. Each second on each poison adds two hits of that poison. The Idea of Wugushi is to complement high uptime builds, whatever that uptime is(Autos or skills), since Wugushi takes 3~ to activate everything that it will do over the next 20-25 seconds.
Wugu’s don’t benefit off crit very directly. It seems the bugs and jar card modifier might carry different modifiers than the player, I’ll have to test that further though. However the initial hits do crit, and the rest of archer skills benefit greatly off crit, including Quarrel Shooter. I still wouldn’t recommend High Str, no dex on a wugu build because you gimp everything else.

You really don’t need full str on Wugushi. I did like a 360 Str:150 Dex and my gu pot or wu gong gu poison still ticks like 3.1k per 0.5 sec or more and even greater against flying mobs if I use 2 handed bow. Then I just have a lvl 7 gem and 2 level 6 gems crit rate gems for my off hand cannon weapon and a special crossbow. for crit rate whenever I auto switch But… full str wugushi qs3 has its uses to maximize the pt dps if your party has a link 3.
I agree with you, even that you can outbalance the lack of Dex with Sapper C1 (just an example) and items, and as @kuramike00 said, Str or Str/Con Wugushi is a good one for group dps (specially with linkers). I do, I reinforce, agree with you on the Dex matter. It’s not bad to have it. It’s just a different approach, indeed.
Wugushi is similar to Sapper where its pretty much C2 or nothing, C1 is pretty useless since the durations are so low, C3 Wugu is decent but Jincan is pretty lackluster.
