QS3 with Musketeer?

Hi people, i’m really interested in QS3 build with Musketeer, and right now i can put a Primus Raffy Musket in trans 6… but i’m a little afraid…

This build is good? I’ll do a good damage in HG 340 for example, and other contents?

Thanks in advance and sorry for my english

Am a QS3 and I can tell you the class almost match anything you want to put on it after

But I think the point of it is not what you want, but for what you want it for  (aka play-style)…

never done musketeer, but I think the best thing to do is experiment with skill distributions and filler ranks…

maybe falc2 >musk 2… you decide

I think that QS3 is one of the classes that best matches Musketeer. Running Shot will be your best friend.
If you want good damage, I received the tip to go full STR because QS3 skills combined with Musk3 skills can have a 8000 damage (I wasn’t able to test it yet, but the person assured me).

Your English is good, don’t worry

As far as QS3 with Musketeer, you’re looking at Archer X > QS3 > X > Musketeer 3?

I only say Musketeer 3 because Snipers Serenity is pretty appealing. Grooving Muzzle + Snipers Serenity is epic, especially depending on what your other ranks are. With Trans Primus I would imagine you’d melt mobs.

For auto attack and some AOE you have filler ranks of Rogue 2 (Ar1>QS3>Ro2>Musket3) for mobile crit with sneak hit and other utility, best with 3x WW cards.

Other option could be Ar3>QS3>Musket3 for swift step and kneeling. A bit less mobile but I enjoyed this play style, due to high dex being beneficial with kneeling’s damage formula, range increase and attack speed increase.

I’m testing a mix of Ar2>QS3>Ro1>Musket3. Still need the WW cards but it seems okay. The 10 second downtime on sneak hit is kind of a bummer though, but seems to be useful for mobile or kneeling but seems somewhat lacking.

That’s my opinion for now. Personally I’m running 100 base str and rest dex with Running Shot, Cafri set and Fire Scroll for those sweet additional lines of damage. Haven’t considered full str for that yet. The only downside I see is Snipers Serenity rendering your mobility kind of useless.

Ar2 allows attributes for swift and kneeling for critical hit rate too, but Rogue does give % increase on crit plus the rear attack crit addition. All based on preference really as stated.

As far as more skill and AoE based, I haven’t dabbled in that :stuck_out_tongue:

Anyone feel free to add more helpful info. Hue.

Edit to point out critical hit rate attributes for kneeling and swift.

I’m looking for a musketeer build, in general.

I’ve seen a build with Sapper, pretty strong, that is AR2>SAPPER3>ROGUE>MUSK3, rogue can use sneak hit and… capture! you can use 2 broom traps at the same time basically.

But i’ll try QS one day too.

Here’s Inje Kang’s channel https://www.youtube.com/user/calmkang/videos

Their build’s A2 QS3 hunter1 musk3 with a heavy investment on weapon. Maybe watching their videos will help you decide.

Hey TM here. I’ve been through a couple builds regarding Musket prior and a finalized one through the recent changes. The finalized changes utilized the fact that Grooving Muzzle and Running Shot go hand in hand.

At the current moment I have scout instead of Archer 2. It’s purely PvP utility so I’m lacking a free 100 crit rate from the attribute with Archer 2. With that said my stats are scattered as well with an investment into CON. However I’d be investing mostly into Dexterity as it’s a build focusing on crit and attack speed to continuously highlight Grooving Muzzle. A large portion of strength is provided by the 77 on the Musket, 30 from the Pasiutes set and 114 from the top and bottom with Fietas (currently my top and boots are providing 68 strength along with the bottom’s 57.) I understand that these are late game items at the current moment but thankfully to HG and Sissels it’s not too far out to replicate.

Right now I am using level 7 Red Gems to take advantage of Sniper’s Serenity. I’m short 2 atm so add another +620 to max patk. Although greens are highly attractive as this is a build that revolves around crit. A part of me is tempted to go that a route to see Grooving Muzzled procs more often.

But a full build would be:
Archer 2 > Quarrel Shooter 3 > Appraiser > Musketeer 3.

Swift Step, Running Shot, Muzzled Shot, Devaluation, Blindside and Snipers Serenity. Kneeling Shot is a lil’ sprinkle.

Swift Step, Kneeling Shot and Oblique Shot are the only things I’ve invested into when going Archer with Musket. Going Archer 2 is for the crit rate it provides.

Running Shot is pretty much the highlight of why this works. Weapon swaps with a Didel Grand Cross and Running Shot gem beefs it up quite a bit as well.

Appraiser is a “Goddess” send, my original Musketeer utilized Rogue 2 and it was extremely underwhelming alongside with the Werewolf cards. So I wouldn’t recommend it. When blindside’s debuff is applied I see crits 2 to 3 times more often. Devaluation helps for CM immensely. It is an extremely strong utility tool for all content.

I have invested 15 into Grooving Muzzle, the up-time is amazing. It’s the duo success to the intended Quarrel Shooter synergy and it’s been amazing for farming and shredding bosses in Sniper’s Serenity. Seeing 4 crits of the same number is amazing. With in Snipers up I’m seeing 30-50k quite often.

My sniper’s serenity is at 5 but the utility of it is the same at every level what’s effected is the cast time. It provides a 50% Critical Damage increase along with setting your minimum attack to the maximum. And it is the reason why I’m damage capping with Snipe quite often. For PvE you can get away with 1-3, usually setting it up before a CM boss. However I like being able to use it during mobbing. Another note: you can swap to your crossbow and shield to remove it.

Other notable skills:

Prime and Load, just needs one point and helps with your rotational burst between down times of Grooving Muzzle. During the downtime my rotation generally fixates on using Covering Fire > Penetration Shot > Snipe > Covering Fire > Prime and Load repeat. Rarely am I using Volley Fire unless clearing mobs, but they’re both all notable skills. Usually Grooving is back up due to the animations of those skills because the window is only 11 seconds.

Covering Fire and Volley Fire both assist with the lack luster AoE. I invested my remaining points into Covering Fire as it is my most frequent skill utilized after snipe. In no way this means it’s the most optimal DPS, but for my current build most other skills are purely utility. Volley Fire is an valid debate compared Covering Fire has gotten the job done more often.

Headshot is only 1 point. it sounds blasphemous I know but Covering Fire to me is better clean up as well as a provisional to help with the lack of AoE while I use this character for PvE mobbing. Now conceptional Headshot Bursts would most likely be extremely stronger for single target damage rotations. Until I can maximize or invest heavier amounts of attributes into my skills I won’t be swapping the points from Covering Fire into Headshot just yet.

Birdfall is just 1 as a PvP utility. Nothing much else to highlight out of it.

Penetration Shot is surprisingly amazing. If I could max it I would because the damage at one is extremely along with its attributes. Rapid Fire and Wild Shot are great. It’s another assistance to the lack luster AoE.

Then you have Snipe. 5k multiplier. 10 points. I am unaware if AoE ratio affects the Ricochet attribute but this skill is our Dragon Fall. It’s safe to say to max this in almost every Musketeer build. Maybe at some point you can get away with lvl 7 or lower depending if you’re still hitting the damage cap, but this is minor skepticism as I am not min/maxed yet or trying to find the most optimal way to distribute points for PvE.

I hope I didn’t go too overboard with explanations. I used Cafrisun all the way up to 350, and having a +11 masi versus a +315 blue was a huge jump in damage. With no trans most content was extremely doable however the huge jump was able to trans 5 and +15. I saw damage cap with snipe at trans 3. But investment is needed for any class, all I can say that my experience doing so was extremely worth it.

If you have any questions feel free to DM me! o/

Can people outside our party take advantage of your blindside debuff? since I planned to build a Musk3 for bossing but was too afraid that putting appraiser would actually help those shino swords outside my own party.

Yeah they can, but the sad thing is you’re not gonna outdps a memello with or without it o 3ob
Jokes aside, the reality is you need to crit for Grooving. So far Blindside has provided the most on target(s) and more or less likely there’s going to be another appraiser at a WB.
Your other options are going Archer 3 for another 50 crit rate or Rogue1 moviememes. From my experience that Sneak Hit was lackluster even with werewolf cards. Honestly when r10 comes out I’ll try Appraiser Rogue 2.
Some of my archer friends like utilizing Wugu 1 with Velnia monkey cards but as mana consumptions are usually high I have Glass Mole uptime quite often and the fact that Serenity sets your patk to max.
In reality there’s great filler options but to me Appraiser has been the needed filler for crits. It can distribute copies of my accessories, reduce attack and defense, while buffing my party’s subweapons. Not to mention Blindside is a 100% crit with an incredible scaling including 3 overheats.
You have really good filler options to fit your need and playstyle. You don’t need Archer 2, or Appraiser you have 2 ranks to play around with what fits best for you.

But back to the matter at hand, if you’re competitive about world bossing you should structure your party to do the most damage. If that Shinobi is running with a Thaum, Chrono and is rocking a +21 or + whatever Solmiki spear, Blindside debuff is the least of our worries :tired: plus WB meta cards are Biters. They share same slot as werewolves if you’re going rogue, might not be a big concern in the future though.

Thanks for the insight. BTW, do you unload Blindside in one go or you rotate between the debuff’s duration.

I rotate it with Grooving Muzzle between. The cooldown is pretty long so unless there’s a Chrono in the party I don’t try to weave it as often.

Do you think it’s better to use Glass Moles or Velnia Monkey?

With the way Sniper’s Serenity works, it’s literally heaven for Glass Mole Cards and Red Gems by raising and setting to your max patk! I use a lot of mana wherever I go and I see and feel the dmg while bossing and clearing.

I did however see a lot of oldschool Wugu/Musket builds use Monkeys. So maybe it’s better for more consistent clearing at least prior to the rework? But specifically for QS3 Muskets without wugu I’d go Glass Moles 100%.

Velnia is better if you are skill caster Musketeer with at least 1 circle of wugushi. Its damage is lesser than glassmole but it provides 100% uptime 30% boost, so you just have to concentrate on your skill rotation without timing for glassmole. And with Prime and Load i find it’s hard to wait for 6s for the next glassmole trigger, cause usually 1 sp pot is not enough to refill your sp pool for another rotation.
