I currently use a +9 GC and Manamana. Would the higher damage of a Superior Kracked Shooter not only boost the damage of the SR skills, but also compensate for the 2 levels I lose on Running Shot?

You can use your grandcross to buff running shot then switch over to your Kracked shooter. However Iâve heard that the damage of your running shot will be based on the weapon you used the buff with so switching over to your Kracked shooter will not increase the damage of running shot.
you need to get the grand cross to +15 until or IF you get a didel grand cross from saluus, and donât anvil it to 15 until you add your 2 sockets, you donât need to be lucky, just save some gold anvils b/c they hit 0 potential way before 15 unless your âthatâ guy
++GC vs +5 SKS is not much different in DPS
but higher ++ of SKS has more DPS but is expensive to doâŚ
so i suggest to stick to ++GC then get an isbality instead for devil infested maps and field bosses
*+9 is not enough tho. bring the potential to 0 then use golden anvils.
good investment IMO even if it would make it untradable.

AFAIK your main hand weapon doesnât do anything to the damage of your SR skills, theyâre based on pistol attack - so youâre better off sticking with grand cross until you manage to RNG up a DGC (which could be never, while other people who will never even make a QS get it instead). Thatâs part of why Isbality is so popular for SRs that donât go QS, because your crossbow is basically your âsecondaryâ weapon in this case, and youâll still get the damage bonus against devils when using SR skills.

it would be a different case if there are crossbows with more sockets than GC. are there?
Thanks for the advice everyone. I will stick with the +9 GC for now. It still has 3 potentials, although I have not opened the sockets yet. Iâll think about whether I should just 0 pot that to try and get a higher enhancement or unlock the slots.
Also, if I am understanding this correctly, I should enhance my Manamana as well to boost the SR skills damage, correct? Good thing there are a total of 4 Silver anvils coming (I already have the two from the mystery event), I might just use those since I do not expect to get a Didel in the next 14 days.
Tested it, dmg stays from the weapon you buffed running shot with. So no point in swapping other then bow.
Also +15 gc is kinda hard, i blown 5-10m and highest i got out of it was a +10
Its pretty doable getting one to 15, farm 6 or 7 grand cross recipes at gateway of the great king (pinos) then before you anvil one add the 2 sockets 1st, this is 100% mandatory, then begin the anvils, if you get 2 fails before +9 stop and list it on the market right away, then begin anvils on the next one. You are going to hit 0 potential, its just reality but if you can get to +12ish before you hit 0 theres a good chance you can golden anvil it the rest of the way, but make sure you have a good amount saved b/c if you fail 12-15 on golds the wpn drops all the way back down to 10.

because grand cross isnât the end game weapon for it, blowing golden anvils seems kinda a waste.
What i did was, buy recipes up for 100k each. got like 10 of them. crafted it for little to no money. And refined them all together. Like everything to +4, then everything to +5. getting +10 was rather easy, even had 3 perfect ones. i used one, the others all tanked moved 2 down on fails, and much like you i pushed it on the market to recoup atleast some of the money as at 4/6 there is no reason anymore to try to get it to +15.
I donât open the gem slots tho, i just make sure i have 2 points left to do it when the weapon hits the right spot, waste of time to do it before hand.
While the weapons are rather cheap by themselves the refines are expensive specially if you hit around the +9, probably something like 100-150k each try. Goes really fast when things go downhill.
So i kept it on +10 and as i needed crit thrown 2x lvl 5 gems on it. So itâs pretty much stuck there now.
Ofcourse itâs all about luck tho so yea.
