QS Questions + Rapid Fire Skill Question

So I made a barbarian but the gameplay was meh, so decided to go for my usual favorite- the archer classes.
I’m currently a C2 QS, and I’m wondering… is QS vastly underpowered when compared to ranger?
In addition… what is it with the Rapid Fire skill? Whenever I use it the skill either completely misses when it visually appears that is should hit, or one of the first arrows will hit and move the mob aside so that the rest of the arrows miss.

If anyone is interested, my build path is, at this point, Archer > QS c3 > Scout > Rogue > Muskateer

pls halp meh I am so bad at dis gam3.

QS shines at circle 3 with running shot, you’re going an auto attacking build so go something like Archer 2 > qs3 > fletcher > musk
Be careful, auto attacking builds work better with low ping, so if you have high ping, I’d suggest another build.

QS isn’t underpowered when compared to ranger. The class itself can hold its own once you get to QS3 for running shot which is the only reason you would go QS and getting QS3 should be prioritize as I’ve seen so many A2QS2 who doesn’t get running shot till R5. Unlike ranger, QS comes with a nice few utilities that allows you to pull ahead and aggro monsters for your party by using caltrops and pavise. Ranger skills eventually get replaced depending on which higher ranked classes they take except for a few core skills.

Rapid fire is an awkward skill and should more or less only be used for the crit resistance debuff attribute that is once you start unlocking more skills from higher ranked classes.

As for your build path, I’m confused to what you’re really aiming for. Scout would make sense if you’re aiming for a pvp build to one shot with camouflage + snipe. Rogue within its own right is really strong although I’m more of a 100% uptime swift step fan going A2 for 25% crit rate/more movement speed/evade vs Rogue1’s 70% uptime 70% crit rate backhit. A2 also comes with kneeling shot for even faster autos which scales with dex and seeing you’re going musketeer, musketeer comes with high scaling damage skills already which also scales better with dex builds.

In the end it really just depends on what end game content you’re tackling.

Thanks for the information! I’m going for an “assassin sniper”
Honestly, my friend who knows a bit more about the game told me to do this path.
Any suggestions for me? I will be Q.S c3 soon, then from there I’m really just confused as to what to do next.
Also, should I even bother getting rapid fire higher than lvl 1? I’ve kept it at that because I hate how awkward it is to use…
I like rogue + scout together cause they just seem like neat classes with the hiding and camo and stabbing =D

i heard that the attribute for rapid fire decreare the crit resistence of enemies to 0 for 9 seconds at a fixed % when maxed, if it’s true than it’s very good and may be a good idea to leave rapid fire at lv1 for faster animation, but where would you spend the leftover skill points?

btw my rapid fire hits all the time if i use it right, to do this i binded it to a number in the numpad so i can use WASD to move and the right hand to keep rapid fire pressed(you can charge it while moving)

i’m actually a QS2 my self and still deciding where to put my points, for now i am set on this:
Pavise 15
runnin shot 5
caltrops 15
stone shot 1
stone picking 1
teardown 1
rapid fire 1

i have 6 points left and thinking if i should use them for stone shot/picking or rapid fire

One way to make sure that rapid fire hits is to make sure that you and your enemy are line up horizontally or vertically. This way, you can run around while charging and position yourself nicely.

Another way to do it is to lock target by pressing ctrl, shoot once to aim at the enemy, and then use rapid fire.

rapid fire worth up to lv5~dont waste points on stone shot and teardown if u arnt go for PVP~

For PvP your build is perfectly fine as long as you position yourself accordingly. With musketeer’s high skill damage going dex reinforces both sneakhit’s buff and effectively making musketeer’s skill scale better. As for PvE, you’re lacking a lot in the AOE department. Your 2 AOE skills - multishot and covering fire that which one of them multishot will be needing some AOE attack ratio gears to make up the lack of AOE from your build path. That is not to say it’s necessary but it is indeed useful for helping your team clear mobs as they’d usually be pulled in waves which becomes evermore so apparent in the higher level dungeons.

As for rapid fire, its damage isn’t the best but for PvE it’ll be your opening skill for bosses thus being the only other skill you’d be using at all from QS (along with pavise and caltrops) and so it wouldn’t hurt to level it. Opening with rapid fire debuff then continuing onto your musketeer skills or running shot and then using it as filler in between to reapply debuff whenever running shot is on CD. This is if you’re taking it from a PvE aspect. If you’re more oriented for PvP, level 1 rapid fire is all you need and you can dump the rest into stone shot for a longer stun duration which of course is not 100% either.

As for suggestions, it’s hard to say as I’ve no idea which game mode you prefer. In the end it’s all about how you want to play and what you enjoy. But you should be weary that QS tends hold bosses aggro when you don’t have a tank so it’ll be hard to fully utilize sneak hit. But when you do have a tank, rogue will shine. As for my build i went A2/QS3/SR2
