Q&A: why do you hide skill math?

I would love to see this answered on weekly Q&A

Edit:

Before you get it wrong. The problem is that we can’t imagine how a skill works before spending a point in it.

Ofc, you still can search for people who already spent a point in it and ask questions… But even with that, someone had to spend a point to see what this skill do… IMO, this is bad.

True would be really nice if we could press a button to see for exemple

Flameground:
Hit rate = 1/sec Total Hit = Duration of spell
Frost Cloud:
Hit rate = 3/sec Total Hit = 3xDuration of spell

But I guess you still got video of those spell you can look up on youtube.
Not a priority over many stuff for me but something that would worth to put in and would really help new playing to not screw too much… their first character.

The Skill Math may be hidden as the game is currently in a very Imbalance state. Or maybe the current dmg equation is not even near finalize stage.

Imagine the Skill Math is fully visible to every player and players started to compare with each other.

R2 Archer : Multi-shot

2 Overheats

Cooldown: 14s

(Physical Attack + 161) x 11 hits

VS

R4 Hoplite: Stabbing

No Overheats

Cooldown: 25s

(Physical Attack + 282) x 14 hits

Swordies are gonna get a slap in the face for most of their skills and it will make it much more apparent as to which Class Tree is being more favored.

Still it would be good to show the Equation and how much does the attribute influence the skill dmg.

Because they want you to make a mistake and buy reset potion.

You can watch skill videos and search skill discussion in reddit. Still, putting one point in every skill will never be a waste.

You can try out the game mechanics, your own playstyle and have a better skill rotation. Tos is not a skill spamming game, ara?

MISTAKE=BUY POTIONS=MONEY FOR THEM  That’s why they’re hiding skill math.

If they showed the math, we could help balancing through feedbacks… But we can’t even give feedbacks properly the way it is atm…
