PvE Build and some extra questions, thanks in advance!

First of all, sorry for my long post. Sorry for my bad english too, it isn’t my native language, I just hope my silly mistakes will not annoy you too much and I hope you all can comprehend me. I couldn’t level too far in the closed beta, so many questions remains, I hope some kind soul can answer some of them for me.

Here is my build, it’s not settled on stone yet, I want to ask a few questions and clarify some doubts before. I may change my first jobs to Ranger or Quarrel Shooter depending on the responses. Or even my last jobs, I prefer to be open minded. Any help is appreciated!

The focus on my character is to play PvE. What can still be changed is if I will focus on PvE with AoE skills, Bossing or Evasion, but to make that decision I need to clarify my doubts below.

At the current moment, I’m favoring skills that gives me extra lines of damage with damage over time, with Wugushi’s Poison skills and Fletcher’s Bleeding.

Is evasion worth investing in this game like it was on RO? Would I be able to evade the mobs most of time with it? Archer C3 with Swift Step and Rogue C3 with Evasion seems to be capable to get a good amount of it, but I’m afraid to choose Rogue just because of Evasion.

How good is Quarrel Shooter at mobbing? Ranger seems to be the best at it because of Barrage skill, but I was thinking on using QS and leveling Scatter Caltrops, seems like a fun crowd control skill to me. I would level it to increase the throw count of the skill by a lot, would it be worth it? Would I be capable to at least play without falling too far behind or should I just use Ranger? I’m still not sure if I will go Archer C3 for the evasion boost on Swift Step or not, so a Plan B is not discarded.

Now I will start to discuss my build and try to justify my reasons behind my decisions on where the points were spent.

Archer C3: mainly because of lv15 Swift Step and lv15 Multi-Shot.

Swift Step: I want lv15 on it purely because of that +20% evasion at level 15, I don’t know if I will make use the movement thing, the mobility of the Schwarzer Reiter seems a lot better than it, please correct me if I am wrong.

Multi Shot: Is it really worth it to invest 15 levels in it? It seems to have good damage, but I’m not sure if I will be able to use it well against higher leveled bosses with the high cast time, I never went too far at the closed beta. Maybe level 10 is good enough? What do you think?

Full Draw: leveled with spare points because of the Skew feature. Does it work against bosses too?

Kneeling Shot: I liked it but I think I wouldn’t use it that much unless there were someone to provoke the mobs for me. Seems like would only be worth it if I invested 10 or more points on it, dunno.

Heavy Shot: the description doesn’t specify if the pushback is increased or not by the level of the skill. IF it isn’t, I intend to leave it at level 1.

Twin Arrows: spare points here. Extra damage? I really don’t know if this skill is worth it or not.

Wugushi C2: I want to play with poison, also extra damage lines seems to be a good thing against bosses?

Detoxify: I never got to play with the class, I don’t know if I will need more than one level in Detoxify. Can someone please tell me?

Needle Blow: is that skill that I plan to always use whenever it isn’t in cooldown. Poison and extra lines equals DPS.

Bewitch: not sure about the utility of confusion on this game but since I just have to spend one point I don’t see why not.

Wugong Gu: I still don’t know if this skill is good or bad. I don’t know what’s the limit of the range that another monster can be infected with it. It could be very good or meh. These 10 points are a leap of faith, wishing that this skill isn’t as bad as I’m afraid it is, because it has potential to be very good imo.

Throw Gu Pot: Seems like a poison in an apparently small area and 35 secs cooldown. I don’t know what else this skill does because the description is in Korean, but since it’s a C2 skill I hope it isn’t horrible? Depending on what it does I may spent these five points somewhere else, or just leave it at level 1.

Fletcher C2: I don’t know why this class has the yellow icon of support in the calc since their skills seems to be very offensive to me, help me I’m lost here lol

Broadhead lv10: Bleeding is another extra line to my DPS and I believe it will let me do actual damage to monsters and bosses that resists poison. 10 seconds cooldown seems very good to me, too.

Bodkin Point: at level 10 reduces physical defence by 50%. I don’t know if the poison and bleeding statuses would extra damage from this, please let me know if it would, but I believe that at least the attack damage of the skills would. Seems good anyway, but I don’t know for how much time this defence drop applies.

Crossfire: another AoE skill that may save me from being really bad at PvE? I pretend to spend all my spare points on it.

Magic Arrow: here is one important doubt for me, if anyone knows please tell me. In the example video when the player uses it, there is an effect at the ground. What exactly this skill does? It seems to be another extra line, which would be good for the intentions of my build, but I’m afraid that it is something like Flame Ground (Pyromancer), so if the monster walks away from it, it would go to waste.

You will want oblique in higher level due to lack of early game AOE. I’ve played a similar build until wugushi 1 in closed and felt the need to increase oblique.
I know it’s an expensive skill but worth a lot to put it at 3 ~ 6

I got Ranger C3 and used Oblique Shot Lv.1 and didn’t even miss it to the point I removed it from my skill bar.

But I’d recomend a higher Heavy Shot for PvP and it’s kind of good vs enemies using plate. Full Draw is enough at Lv ~3 or so.

Archer1>ranger1>archer2>Wugushi3>Endgame class.
Ranger for AOE barrage shot. Nice skill to have for bosses too.

Don’t miss out wugushis c3 …
And i think you need to decide on either aoe dps or single dps.
Fletcher is something that scales so well with ranger atm … And archer 3 is useless, if you dont take 1 circle of falconer.

Why?

Circling.
Makes multishot into an aoe skill~

Oh and yes.

Archer3 is nice.
But you will want that OB Shot at level 1 for spamming and attribute to level 50.

Multishot, after firing 5 shots or so, you can move again. Don’t worry.
YOu will still move while firing multishot shots. And it goes swiftly.
It is the best boss killer skill … as far as i am concerned.
Specially flying type bosses~

Magic Arrow.

A AOE Hit skill.

Small area and a set coutn of hits.
It will swiftly apply the hit count to the enemys inside.
Silenceing them too.

One reason i wanted to make a fletcher for boss fighting xD.
25 hits each 5 cd you can shot it … and the skill last then still.
It sucks against large amount of mobs… but nice for boss xD.

About Wugushi: I’ve never found a good use for Bewitch not even when it worked. I’d recommend to put the one point from Detox and Bewitch on Zhendu as it’s more helpful. Detox have a rank limitation and antidotes are way too cheap. I think the only good use of Detox would be to get poison immunity but there’s no place that needs such thing and if we get one there’ll be a support near us capable of preventing statuses because nobody will ever search Wugushis just for this thing.

@greenfoxy21 someone said that Steady Aim aren’t applying to Fletcher skills but I think it’s a bug that could be fixed (or not!).

Oblique Shot is still worth spamming on Lv.5 or more but it’s not that good after you get a good array of skills. Oblique Shot is only kind of a filler that inflicts Slow sometimes and have a better range. You won’t be spamming it on bosses or PvP, only PvM when all you other skills are on cooldown but there’s buffs that make it worth using AA instead of Oblique Shot :x

And Multishot isn’t “useless” on PvM. You can “fix” it by getting more AoE Attack Ratio like Mana-mana, Gladiator band, some gloves and other bracelets. (And if you’re lucky/brave enough there are hats but it’s not something that we can consider a reality to have 3 hats with AoE Ratio along with another good bonus like phys. attack or crit. attack.)

They are different things. You might want both. Also Evasion isn’t that important. Twin Arrows or Multi Shot are good reasons for Archer C3, Swift Step Lv.15 isn’t.

Full Draw only works if you can link another monster to the boss like when you hit a monster that will be pushed to the boss so they’ll get linked. Some monsters can’t be pushed with Full Draw and the debuff won’t apply. (Also note that it can be resisted sometimes.)

Heavy Shot: IIRC skill Lv. doesn’t increases knockback but it’s good to have a higher skill Lv. here for better damage because of +50% modifier vs Plate. But knockback can be annoying if you’re in a party and you’ll be with a party on PvM.

Wugong Gu: The range is only AoE range (imagine like the range a normal swordie can hit another monster). But the spreading isn’t that good because you’ll need to hit the same monster ten times to make it spread ten times so you’ll only see that in dungeons and on higher levels.

Throw Gu Put is really good. It’s like a pool of poison that can’t hit flying enemies but do “AoE” poison damage. There’s also the Wugushi’s card (insect/klaida) system that makes it cast a boss skill.

Barbed Arrow is really good vs Cloth but I don’t know how much points is enough for it as I didn’t try Fletcher.

please explain? I dont understand. I mean it’s +20% evasion, right?
