The problem is your mistaken free to play as something that’s fully free.
There are a number of model types of free to play which range from simply playing the game for free without having to spend a dime on such as league of legends, team fortress 2 & etc… which tend to be the best model of free to play. While you can choose to pay to unlock items and other things you can get them freely over time within the game.
There are also models which set limits while not as great as above they aren’t the worst. The worst is the pay to win model where you can simply be offered the best weapons etc by paying some in-game cash.

What you just described is “pay 2 win”. And ToS, at least for now, is not p2w.
Of course there will be things to buy with real money. Otherwise, why the hell would the publisher let the game running just for the heck of it? They would only be wasting their money for someone else’s entertainment.

I’m not a F2P player, I paid for the monthly subscription (token). However, I can firmly disagree with those who want a walled garden for the subscription players. I personally found Orsha to be a ghost town when everyone transferred servers. I open my arms wide and welcome my fellow gaming brethren and sisters.
Also on a side note, how the hell are you able to read the world chat through the monstrous amounts of gold spam?

YES. You are still a “free to play player” once you’ve bought something.
Free to play does not mean pay to win nor does a game being pay to win or not have anything to do with the fact standing that the game is still free to play.
It’s not about shaming “freeloaders”, its about people thinking that for some reason, they buy an Early Access pack and all of a sudden get this sense of entitlement that they deserve future content that wasn’t described in their Early Access bundle purchase. And that other users who didn’t buy Early Access shouldn’t get that same content.
You don’t go to the grocery store and say “hey, I’ve bought food 5 more times than this guy, aren’t I entitled to some free food next week???” and then spit on the guy that’s never been in the grocery store before lmao.

I disagree with free players not contributing. I made a long post a while back on how with the token system, everyone contributes even if they dont pay. I dont feel like going back and digging up the post though or recreating it…
For the record i bought all the founder packs if that matters on how you see what i said…

I hate to break it to you but you are a free to play player… a token isn’t a monthly subscription you can even buy them in the market place without paying real money. You are paying for service which doesn’t auto renew every month you have to buy it every time you want the service again.
If your talking about shout chat then it’s best just to click block & report on the gold spammers which will get rid of it for awhile. It’s not perfect and would be nice if they did have better bot detection and auto ban.

Game may be free to play, but players are divided in different categories.
You’ve the whales who throw an insane ammount of money at the game (most of candy crush’s money came from whales).
You’ve your average paying customer.
You’ve the users who don’t pay.
There would be no paying customers without free users because the game would be empty.
That’s the basic division of users for F2P games. Companies make content directed @ different groups, so throwing everyone on the same group would serve no purpose.
IIRC extra credits has a video on it, look it up.

I’ve got no clue what your talking about but yes the anti-gold spammer add-on would help. I’ve not tried it so I didn’t suggest it.

I think most of the hate and arguements come from this. There is a big difference between someone with intent to play the game because it’s Free to Play, and someone who plays the game because they love it and want to support it. I spent nearly 200$ on the game, does it make me better than anyone else? Not really. Should I feel entitled to those who don’t plan on spending a dime? Yep. Because nothing irks me more then someone saying to me; I don’t plan on spending a dime. Why you ask? Because if not for the Paying Customer, the game would not be here to play at all.
If everyone played the game because, hey its here and it’s free. Well, the game wouldn’t last very long. Only through the support of the P2P’ers does a F2P’er get to play, and we deal with massive lag, and server latency that was not there when said F2P’ers weren’t around. So I can understand someones feelings.

You’re able to feel entitled however just because you feel entitled doesn’t give you a higher status. Yes, people who buy things are keeping the game alive without that the game wouldn’t be able to stay open however you are getting stuff in return for buying in-game cash to spend on items which others who choose not to pay can’t get like costumes & hair styles.

In fact I need a server that only those who spend 200+ on the game can only access because… we’re even more elite than those other guys.
Actually if IMC just fixes the server stability/capacity there wouldn’t be a huge deal.
When Telsia got restricted for a week it felt that it worked in terms of stability because of bots. So when the news came of opening it again we got scared because here comes the lag due to high number of bots.
So the problem is not really with F2P vs P2P(EA players) it’s the server(IMC).

Well I paid for the Exclusive Pass which helped fund IMC’s plan to launch it for F2P. We don’t deserve to be called Free-to-Players

You arent, the game is f2p but that doesnt mean everyone is f2p.
