Yeah, it’s also easy to program a multitude of auto-responses, based around specific keywords. It’s also easy to program in auto-player-avoidance and limit movement to outside any player’s draw distance. Even RO’s main botting program could do that by 2004.
How easy it is to hide a bot’s identity only comes down to how lazy the bot owner is. And since it’s so easy to just reroll accounts, ToS bot owners are especially lazy.
He should reply ■■■■ Off, with some jackass bugging him, and having a problem that he just wants his alone time because they’re trying to play spot the bot with their faulty assumptions.
I’m not a “Necro Farmer” but I don’t see any problem with them unless they are using another program to botting.
Btw I didn’t get what you mean tho, what you said sounds like you are speaking to a prisoner who have to answer the roll calls but every minutes instead of 2 times a day.
I mean they spend their time in the game instead of working or hanging out irl which is fair enough for me. If I were one of them and have to answer to a hundreds damn calls every 20mins then all the line would be end with “F- off” .
I didn’t say you are wrong but doing that is just like find a thief by knocking the door of every houses in the town asking “Are you a thief ?”.
Beside, since you are doing this, it’ll be very kind of you if you could ask every cleric and archer out there if they are bots too.

With this example (in the case of ToS), that’s literally going up to every individual you can find (in town or in the field) and inquiring the legitimacy of all their accounts. Would have made more sense to say “That’s like walking down the street, seeing somebody pick something up from the ground, and asking them if it belongs to them”.
Most necro farmers are using a 3rd party program. But you still have to inquire their legitimacy so you don’t accidentally report real player. Would you rather we just report a player without saying anything? Or not use it at all? The thing is, we have a report button; I can’t speak for any other individual in this game but I intend to use the ■■■■ out of that report button.
Concerning usual bot behavior, most bots are easily identifiable. Necros running a macro will have a timed pot animation; if they’re not responding to chat, just sit with a timer and check the pattern of the pot animation. If that ■■■■’s exact, that’s a mfing macro user. All bots have very decisive movement, there’s no hangin’ around; there’s a specific stand-off distance from every target when it starts an encounter (save for ranged characters).
Well, that makes sense.
No wonder there are not many Necro main.
I personally dont think it looks good for a game that lets players afk farm, might aswell release an item that lets players bot, making it available to one class only.
Could also be a TP varient that makes the character automatically drop undesired items/use potions, that would be something IMC would make profit of.
I mean, theyre technically the same thing, both implies being afk/do nothing and make silver out of it.
AFK farming has gone so bad that some palyers tries to monopolize farming areas by “selling” farm spots.
Else theyll proceed to grief by using an oracle to transform mobs into a mosnter that can kill the afk necro.
I dont call this good game design.

Just to note … It’s much better to program the bot for a Schwarzer Reiter and put it on Tymers Temple.
You will have a much better farm and no one will be asking you anything.
so, how people afk farm now when pets stop attacking after a minute?
everyone can still somewhat afk farm at given static spawns with a bottle or whatever on their autoattack button , i never understood the necro hate surely now people can quest but who honestly quests anymore if there are 4xp 8xp cookies , statue seeds , the whole questing needs to give something to aim for outside of a few sad bars to grind. same with silver - sure i can grind leafnuts for hours and make a few mil is it fun no ? guess why people afk necroed , because the game is extremely toxic (hate using this word btw) when it comes to player money and used for everything - i dont blame a single necro and i never reported any of em - if i were as smart as them i wouldve abused it myself after / before coming back but since im a masochist i dont.

If you’re affected by icewall pushing it means you aren’t actively farming.
Afk farming is brain dead and I’m glad imc took steps to curb these. There are already reports of macro necros getting suspended so that’s a good direction. As for what you said with timerys farming with a sr bot, what makes you think that would get away scott free ?
Also you’ll need to gear the bot to survive there, unlike the meet shields you create for free every second without any resource usage.
They can’t, the only way to do it is by actually botting or breaking the terms of service

Activate Limacom and basic attack and have it run through the course, easy programming …

Do necro afk farming need these? No.
With regard to the necros I have already said countless times that you don’t need to stay AFK.
Change the game to window mode decreases the pixels and decreases the size of the window. Leave the window in the corner and you can watch what you want on YouTube in a side window, can work, can do anything, as long as in window mode.
Every 1 minute gives a basic attack or when you see many mobs over you. Or re-summon TempleShooter.
And that is fine, since sooner or later you have to sleep. The problem with necro farming before is that it was completely passive income, akin to botting.
If someone really wants to sit at their computer, refresh their minions and farm that way, fine. As of lately all of the necro botters are not even trying to be subtle about it. They are running around just like all the other bots, making it easy to spot them and report them.
Nheto forest is a big target since it drops red card albums.
Not to mention there are players with multiple instances of afk necros farming at the same time.
