Tree of Savior Forum

PSA: I reinstalled Tree of Savior today. 10/10 Would recommend

All my settings, all the hidden folders in the system, everything was deleted trying to fix a certain problem I had with an old addon that was discontinued.

After doing so, I noticed severe improvements in my FPS, to the point where the game would not lag upon opening the N-Map within a full, channel-1 mercenary post(I’ll post a video of it if you guys want)

Everything is running much smoother, I just had to reconfigure everything. I feel like I’m playing one of those videos from the kToS commercials where they don’t get FPS spikes every minute.

I guess that’s all I wanted to say.

Update: Here’s the vid. This is not at all usual for my computer(or wasn’t before the reinstall.)

I can’t tell if you are trolling or just a blind whiteknight 20~35 fps “wow so smooth”

I really don’t get what people are talking regarding the FPS issue. I’m a new player and my FPS rarely dips below 60. In 5-man dungeons, sometimes it hits 50.

I dont know if your blind or just being an ass but notice how he isnt stuttering while moving around and moving his map. This is a huge improvement from 2 months ago.

It’s nice to see that you have a stable FPS, especially in such a crowded place. My FPS has been generally stable as well. What are your computer specs?

That’s because you weren’t here when there were serious fps issues lol.

New players will all get the IMC’ed treatment soon enough…

Processor: i5-2310 @ 2.90GHz
12GB RAM
GPU: Nvidia GeForge GTX 750
Windows 10 Pro (64 bits)

@the people who tell me I’m being a whiteknight: Yeah I know it should run ToS much smoother than that, it’s still an improvement for me though. I like to cherish the small things in life, even if they’re supposed to be better still.
Edit: I also had ToS installed since way back in the paid launch, so that might have affected it.

Don’t worry it’s still nice.
My fps drop to 1 or below when diev for example cos the computer is 8 years old xD.

I got almost exactly the same (except the ram, I have less and i5-4460) but I run the game between 70 and 100 fps (40 to 60 in crowded), where do you get this difference?

My game only goes this low when I’m in a hugely crowded area such as Merc Post channel 1 or cryomancer-infested dungeons(ice walls)

A game that can barely run
Boss attack: knockdown knockdown knockdown
Player dodging mechanic: jump jump jump
Even the availability of the dungeon server is luck based.
Totally recommended
yup 10/10
For the masochists :+1:

This has nothing to do with the thread in question. My recommendation was for reinstalling the game if you’re already interested in playing, I’m not here to review the game or say anything bad or good about it.
Thanks for your input, though.

Which add-on did you have and think was causing the issues?

Well wasnt trying to offend you but you picked the wrong place to do tests. The game isnt laggy at all usually, moreover nobody moves in the mercenary post. My game can run without lag at all in mercenary post prior the optimization. The map function only lags when the actual map is big, so it wont lag in mercenary post. Calling one small map as ‘everything’ sounds wrong. Improvement, yes. Generally smoother, yes. Everything smoother, no.

Its because people here have potato computers and expect their potato pcs to work on everything.

Its because imc here have potato server and expect their potato server to accommodate 50k players.

fixed for ya~

TOS is a 500pop game coz thats what potato server can handle.

11/10 would recommend TOS

I have no idea, to be honest. I had several old, unneeded addons in my folder because the UI was way worse back then.

Also, Silver, I did not get offended at all, thanks for worrying however. I intended to show a bit of the game running on my PC in the video, and it’s still working fine on bigger maps and overall has better FPS, even if it is not covered here. This isn’t a fix-all for everyone, but it definitely helped me which is why I decided to share it with veterans who might have similar issues.

Haukinyau, please refrain from getting off-topic. The game can be criticized elsewhere.

My computer is far from potato

i’m talking about his fps on the video and that is far from smooth, if you think 20 ~ 30 fps is good fps keep the TP coming savior and

SmoothER. The key here is the comparison between past and present. I am not praising the game for running at 30 FPS at all.
Thanks for your input, Texugo.
