I dont mind that you troll on the forums(we actually need trolls to upset the balance) but you got to give it a break every once in a while. This thread wasnāt trying to bait anyone or defend the game. Just a person happy to find something positive in this negative environment.
This is rather, an already redundant āalternativeā solution to this gameās horrible engine.
People are irritated because this had been already done and suggested many times for everyone having troubles with fps. Heck, even the game support always tells you to do it along with verify game files bla bla blaā¦
And the fact that you put up in the title ā10/10 recommendedā doesnāt help either. It reminds me of IGN rating and reviewing awful games with a 8-9/10 score lul.

Youāre implying that the possible cause of your fps problems was an addon. If possible, mind sharing what particular addon is that? Because an addon causing lag is new to me in this day and age. Nothing in the addon manager also causes such issues.
It will actually help if we know it so we can try deleting it ourselves from our game directory in case we have a copy of it too.
Iām not specifically sure because I had 20+ addons installed prior (and after) the reinstall. However, I can pinpoint a few which have been deleted upon reinstalling(some of which arenāt even in the manager anymore): The ones that used to fix chat back when it wasnāt implemented in game, one of those āfps helperā addons(donāt remember which), a few smaller performance related addons(remove gray fog from M-map is one I remember the most), et cetera.
Edit: The IGN thing was indeed a meme on my part, Iām sorry for trying to be funny. Iāll refrain from making funny statements in my future useful posts.
Also, Iām just happy it worked for me and decided to share my experience with others, as Iām sure some people would find this useful.

Normally N only freezes when you open it for the first time after opening the game, do you still face the issue? I sometimes do.
Quite funny some people complaining about the 30 FPS drop, even though thereās no stuttering whatsoever which was the actual cause of so much frustration.

30fps is totally playable, most of the console games uses 30fps so, thatās it ā-ā

RE-INSTALL. How many times did you saw that word in tech support in all kinds of field?
Itās listed as one possible action/solution for every problem involved regarding a software everytime. EVERYTIME.
Itās basically stating the obvious thing to do whenever something goes wrong.
This is like SOP for troubleshooting softwares as a consumer.
You know we still have players who are still hoping this game still has a chance for salvation, albeit frustrated and hanging by a thread.
And people who are possibly new to the forums who unknowingly checks GD section not knowing what is coming to them.
When you saw a thread like this that lifts your hopes for the game,
and gets slapped with an ordinary answer youāll get anywhere, what would your reaction be?
Even if we assume one is a newbie in āTree of Forumsā, reactions would be at the very least negative. Disappointed to be specific.
That is why I asked if TS remembers the addon/s he had. We need further details because just telling people to reinstall w/o any particular detail is acting the same with IMCās very resolving game support.
And since he did gave out more details in later posts, that made it clearer why re-installing was very effective for him. He had a copy way back pre-F2P and experienced the [7%] optimization patch just recently.
So, in TLDR; fashion:
If you have a very old copy of the game and any related files, please do delete them and replace them with the latest one packed with the latest updates.
and for people telling on potato PCs:
Potato or not, This game canāt even run at 100% using your āohso next-gen ala-Jarvis gradeā computers and you should feel bad since your computer costs a fortune and still canāt run a lowly game like this lul.

This thread reminded me of the story of the father, the son and their donkey.
I never heard of that tale before. I contacted my friend google to tell me about it and yes itās very relatable. I mean, the whole forum can be summarized by the fable.
Game is generally much smoother unless you play low ping fencer. Sending too much packets in the channel of that map will rip your fps and the smoothness is completely gone. Only solution is to change map and come again. Other than that, itās smooth for the most part.
Need to utilize GPU more because this is the only game my card canāt run a graph properly on gpu utilization so somethingās up.
I did the same and got a 7% improvement. Hue

Again, which mmo doesnt lag when alot of skills are in the screen? Mostly 80% of them have it. Imc is a dev company, they have no fuckin idea how to make it better.
