[Prinny Data Collection] Help me collect some data on goldspammer messages in ToS

Hey all,

I need some help, if you guys could fill out this form and copy/paste or transcribe gold spam messages you see (as exactly as possible) in shout/normal chat this would help me tremendously with a little pet project I’d like to try out.

Here’s the survey, so please fill it out if you can!

@moderators if imc could help out with this effort (as I’m sure you guys are sitting on a ton of data), that would also help tremendously.

The idea is to try a neural network classifier which should be more robust than naive bayes style classifiers. I probably won’t open source the solution sadly since showing it means spammers can reverse engineer how to get messages across.

EDIT: I should add, of the posts I’ve made today, this is probably the most important one. At least in my opinion.

Well… If you can’t stop the gold sellers, then slaughter all the gold buyers :3

EDIT: LOL SEAGM. Didn’t know they had boosting services. I use that site to buy PSN cards since it’s cheaper than local stores here.

I will try when I run across them but this seems a lot of work to do which might be why you currently have 0 atm. (That and the spam is quite lacking atm too.)

yes, it’s a bit hard, cuz the game doesn’t allow tab+alt. so if you see one in game, hard to copy paste it here. if i see one i will input that for you

I was just blocking them and have currently shut off my shout messages but I could send you my block list if you like.

Yes, getting a list of blocked messages would be extremely helpful!

EDIT: Yes, I realize it’s pretty annoying to have to type the text in as there’s no copy paste functionality to my knowledge. Maybe imc would be willing to share some data on gold spam messages… :frowning:
