Preliminary beginners guide to Clerics

Thanks for the answer! Yeah, I took a look at previous posts and plan on testing things myself but I still wanted to make sure if there was something I missed that I should keep in mind. I haven’t been playing for long (came back three weeks ago during the new players event) so I’d rather double check things with people who know more about the game than me.

I’ll keep an eye on this posts during the following weeks to read whatever you guys discover and to lend a hand on testing things if you need anything.

Still wondering why a DPS like Paladinquisitor needs 2 Circles of Priest when a Kabba, a PD or even a Monk could be better.

Still, it’s an interesting choice for Tree of Priests Meta

Auto attacks are very popular in kToS because of their LAN-tier pings. Now, with the ASPD increase, any Auto attack build are just as, if not more than, viable in kTos.

Meanwhile, we iToS plebeians are lucky to get less than 200ms for our Auto Attack characters to work.

In the case of my build it’s because Revive and Mass Heal are awesome utility if you’re going to solo. Revive makes it so you can YOLO and run away later if everything goes south and Mass Heal is percentage-based instant heal, which is absolutely the best kind of heal.

I could discard Priest 2 but then I would probably not even get Priest 1 because why bother just for Monstrance and Resurrect (which I can’t use on myself) since I’m going to end up buying Aspersion, Sacrament and Blessing, and I don’t know what to get for Rank 2 and 3 instead that would give me anything that would actually work well with the rest of my build.
Krivis C2 gives party utility and good buffs but little in the way of solo survivability (which, again, is the point of the build). I mean
Diev C1 feels weird in the build (but it would give me a pierce attack which would be useful, I guess?).
Cleric C3, dunno, safety zone level 15 might be worth it? I’ve never needed more than Heal lvl 5 so far for soloing and even that’s overkill and half the tiles go unused. I’m assuming you lose Fade once you attack an enemy so it’s pretty much pointless if I’m soloing (if you stay “faded” while attacking then it starts looking way better), and while Divine Might is good I don’t see how giving up on the best heal I have (Mass Heal) plus the best “oh ■■■■” button (Revive) is worth it.
Bokor just no.

So, yeah, Priest C2 offers Mass Heal and Revive (and Monstrance and Resurrect, as a side dish, are nice too). And those two are awesome for what I want. I still plan to try swapping Priest with Krivis and play around with Cleric C2 or 3 and check whether I actually need Revive and Mass Heal anyways, buuut it really seems like it’s staying.

So what do you think should Paladinquisitor stats be?

testing zoo-build, Old bugs are still in the game. 8(

Yep…

Which might be because this isn’t even the latest patch, we’re missing the barrier range and conversion phys atk attribute rework, the TP fix so it actually works for OoB. And likely quite a few more I missed. (But don’t get your hopes up, not with IMC. That’s how they get you.)

I don’t see the monster skill rework yet either. And the pvp rebalance has yet to start.

So what’s the point of this? Do we get additional resets when those updates are out? I doubt it knowing IMC foresight on these matters.

I’ll do some more testing over the next 2 weeks, but it doesn’t really look good tbh. That I’m too stingy to get a token doesn’t help either…

still in game but since smite and so is like… uber sp consuming… i find only zoo build for pala appealing if not with monk at r7 to be able to sustain dmg without SP madness (and even still with pots is hard to regen sp)

Ein Sof (Kabba) can help with sp consuming.

Finally figured out the new Discern Evil. Roughly, it’s a bit finicky since seconds aren’t displayed with that much detail.
It has a cap based on the current duration of the debuff, that scales with skill level.

Aka:
lvl 5 DE adds +50% of the current duration up to 10s max.
lvl 10 DE adds +75% of current duration up to 20s max.
lvl 15 DE adds +100% of the current duration for up to 30s max.

So for pd1/2 this means.
A 10s incinerate will turn into a 15s, 17.5s, 20s duration when used with a lvl 5, 10 and 15 DE.
A 15s black stream death will turn into a 22.5s, 26.25s, 30s duration when used with a lvl 5, 10 and 15 DE.

Meaning the shown value of DE is very hard to reach. Or at least would require several pardoners.
You’d also need to use it instantly after your debuff(s) of choice which further limits its worth.

I don’t think pardoner is worth it anymore for DE alone tbh…

Now that the dust has settled, what will be the best Magic Melee build?

magic melee? if inquisitor is phisical… then chaplain full spr or priest3/priestSadhu2 druid3 full spr or full int. But they won’t get firsts places. I don’t fully understend your question.

Those are good enough for me. I always like mixing up magic and physical skills most of the time

Can gm’s even add extra posts on top? I want more space than those 2 posts of mine would allow for this update and the r9/10 updates. (mostly to put a class run down before builds as well.)

Though I could simply make a new thread I suppose.

New thread. title it… “An Intermediate Guide to Clerics”?
